| I received a call from Anthony Rinella of the Park District Wednesday morning and also received a follow up letter. The Park District has a no-alcohol policy at the park and here is the letter...

It has been brought to our attention that the drinking of alcoholic beverages has become prevalent both during and after softball games by both players and bystanders. This practice must stop immediately, for as you know this in not only a violation of Park Board policy but also City ordinances.
This was brought to our attention by Police Chief Ron Swafford who stated that the police would be patrolling Pyramid Park on a more frequent basis and anyone caught with alcohol would be written a citation.

| Yeah sorry I called the cops about the drinking. Beer makes me feel more bloated than I already am and I hate to see other people get as bloated as I am. Don't mess with the master son.

| YEAH! BEER IS ICKY. I'M WITH YOU GUYS. FROM NOW ON WHEN A PERSON ON MY TEAM STRIKES OUT OR FOULS OUT I'M GOING TO HAVE THEM DO 7 LAPS AROUND THE FLAG POLE INSTEAD OF BRINGING COLD, REFRESHING, REALLY DAMN GOOD TASTING BEER TO THE GAME. | I understand rules are rules but what's next? will they take our gloves? They keep changing bats, balls well at least the finally cleared up the mat issue...lol that is one of the few parks i found that dont allow drinking. Oh i miss the good ole days of playing drinking (a few) and having a good time doing both.....

| Sorry to rain on your ballgame. Boo hoo. You are there playing ball usually max of 1hr pr game. What kind of person are you? Are you there to drink or play sports????? (drink , I guess.) Do that at home or friends house not at ballpark. Also, there is such a cold drink as ---- water, thst does not impair your playing. Thanks for NOT drinking.
