TOPIC: Mertog's Picks: Week 6 |

| Some pretty interesting games on the slate for this week, so lets get right into it!
1. Crowe Bar vs. Stallions: Crowe has a great team this year and took two off a very tough Baxters last week. The Stallions are definately one of the most improved teams this year, and I liked what I saw from them when we played them. Still, everything being normal this should be two games in the win column for Crowe.
2. Harris vs. A+: A+ pulled off the shocker of the year by stealing one from PNA! (Someone swing by Ryno's and cut him down) Congratulations are definately in order for A+!!Aside from pulling off another miracle, Harris will take two here.
3. Club Joques vs Sunset: Sunset has been playing very tough all year, but the Club should come out swinging and put up two wins this week.
4. Central Coventry vs. Eaton: This one should be interesting and this is an opportunity for the firefighters to put a win up. I think Eaton may be a little too tough for them though and take the pair.
5. Chris Moulton vs. DelPadre: This one should be two tough games, but I'm going with my boys over at Moulton to take the pair.
6. VFW vs. PNA: Normally this would have been my pick for Game of the Week, but PNA just isn't firing on all cylinders so far this year. VFW is just plain off the chain so far...I'm picking VFW to take the pair here.
7. Pub vs. Baxters: This one is going to be a scrap, no doubt about it. Baxters is a very tough team and we always have very tough games against them. Chip and the boys have done a nice job so far this year and I'm looking forward to this one. Too close to call, so I'll say a split here.
8. My pick for Game of the week is Bothelo vs Jr's. Ian has put together a very, very good squad this year and he may have the only team that can stand up to the VFW. Jr's is always tough and have the potential to beat anyone at full strength...the question is, is the whole team coming this week. Jr's with a full compliment is one of the best teams in the league, missing some key players though could cost them here. If Jr's full team shows...it's a split, if not...Bothelo's takes the pair.

| Hey Mark. Usually I don't do anything but read your picks just to keep up with the goings-on in the league and such. But seeing as how I'm taking a short vacation this week and will be in attendance at the Bax-Pub brawl I wanna make a prediction. I say this series could possibly be the highest scoring series thusfar and maybe even for the whole season. I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see one or maybe two 40+ run games. It's at hunters where both Bax and Pub play very well and have the players to utilize power to both sides of the field. Bax has Galloway/Vernet and Pub's got the Saballa/Howard connection. Bax has speedsters like Chip and DJ, Pub's got a few guys who's names escape me cause I never was able to introduce myself as they were merely a blue blur as they passed me at third. We have the number 1 and 3 run scoring teams here. Bothelo's/JR's game of the week? I think not. This is the game that'll be talked about from sunday to sunday. As far as my pick, Mark, you guys were my favorite team to play against by far, but I'm goin with my Baxters boys to sweep, but not an easy sweep. Pub's RA (runs against)is a bit high. We'll see if it's a defense thing, or just a tough schedule so far. Anyone who for whatever reason isn't playing sunday, come catch this series. See you at the game, Mark!

| Hey Ry!!! Awesome, it'll be nice to see you Sunday...make sure you come by and say hello, although I know you'll be sitting on the Baxters side of the field make sure you come over and say hi!
Actually Ry, I pointed the RA out to my guys too and they seem to think it was because we have played VFW, PNA, JR's and Joques all in a row and they hammered us. We definately made a few errors here and there and helped some teams out, but all in all I think we are pretty solid defensively...it's just that those teams that I mentioned flat out hit the shit out of the ball and put up runs. I also think most teams come out and flat out want to just put a whoopin on old Mertog here for picking against their teams too!

3. Club Joques vs Sunset: Jokes Takes 2 Here Sunset Could Pull One Off If Jokes Comes Out Flat Jokes Take 2
4. Central Coventry vs. Eaton: Still Havent Seen Either Two This Year But Going On Talk From Teams Who Play Both Eaton Takes 2 And Coasts
5. Chris Moulton vs. DelPadre:These Guys Always Play Tight Against One Another Im Goin On A Limb And Sayin Del Padre Steals One Split
6. VFW vs. PNA: Here We Go Again Im Betting On Artie And The Boys To Just Flat Out SHOW UP And HIT PNA If They Have There Guys Could Manage A Split But Without Ryno VFW Takes 2
7. Pub vs. Baxters: Well Im Routing For Mert And The Pubbies To Take 2 Here But I Think Chip And His Boys Have Other Ideas And Fired Up From Losing 2 Last Week Baxters Steals Atleast One Game Im Going With A Split But Pulling For A Pub Sweep Sorry Baxters...
8.Bothelo vs Jr's. Mert I Agree Smitty Has Assembled An Arsenal Over There And I Dont Expect Anything But Two Hard Fought Games. And Your Absolutely Right, Who Knows Who Will Show But i Think We Can Hang With Anyoen In This League Im Gonna Say A Split If We Come Out And Hit We Are In Any Game If We Come Out Flat Couldnt B Deadly.

| Mac, seems everyone has the same problem this year, you just never know who is gonna show up on any given sunday. I haven't had a full squad yet this year...and I'm betting Jr's, PNA, Bothelo, VFW haven't either.
