TOPIC: LEAGUE LEADERS AWARDS FOR THE 2007 SEASON |

My office, Law Offices of Christopher Neal Oakley, will donate a plague for the following categories:
Men's League Leaders for Batting Average, RBIs, & HRs.
Women's League Leaders for Batting Average, RBIs, & HRs.
For a player to be eligible, he/she must have a minimum of 40 at bats for the season. Also, the stats must be entered into the GHISL website to be considered. I know that a couple of teams have entered their stats into their own website, but to be eligible those teams must enter their stats into the GHISL website.
The gesture is more for bragging rights than anything.
I want to encourage people to put their team's stats on the website. The larger the pool of players the greater the bragging rights.

I would like remind everyone that my office is donating awards to the men’s and women’s’ league leaders in BA, HRs, & RBIs.
The last game scheduled is for September 26, 2007. The deadline to enter the final stats on the website will be October 7, 2007. If you want to be considered, then make sure that your team's official scorer enters the stats by October 7, 2007. Within a couple of days of October 7, 2007, I will determine the league leaders and post the unofficial list on the website. I will give until October 14, 2007 everyone an opportunity to check for mistakes. Assuming that everything is correct, then I will mail the plaques to the appropriate team managers.
For this year, I did set a minimum of 40 ABs to qualify for the BA title, and I will stick to that number for this year. However, in future years, I believe that I should lower the minimum number to 20 - 30 ABs. I made an estimate at the beginning of the year, and I believe that I set the bar to high. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding this, then please feel free to reply.
The league now has several teams that have posted their stats on the website. I would like to encourage other teams to join and the teams that have imputed stats to continue to do so.
This being the first year of league awards, we have had a respectable number of teams participate. I hope that next year we can improve even further.
