| i have the simplest request for people who play co-ed and i dont want to offend anybody but its really hard sometimes to keep score if theres like 4 or 5 kids haning around me in the score booth. Its pretty distracting when im trying to watch the game and a kid is pulling on my arm or jumping off stuff. There is a lot of stuff they could get hurt on and i dont want to be around for it. I dont mind if they come up and ask the score but i really dont want to baby sit so if you could keep them on your bleachers or by your dugout that would be ideal. thanks

| Kevin, if you're in the top booth, then please ask them to leave. There's really no reason for children to be in there. Too much stuff for them to get hurt on.

| What if the scorekeeper is sitting in the bleachers or if he is sitting on the picnic tables next to the bathrooms talking with 4 or 5 other people. Wouldn't that, also make it hard to keep score? No offense Kevin.

| My god people you bitch and ask special favors from the scorekeepers all the time and when one scorekeeper asks people to actually be responsible for their kids you jump on them and dog them. . . . give em a break!

| I don't have any problems with a scorekeeper sitting in the bleachers. But they shouldn't be under the pavillion, but they should always be paying attention.

| I coach the third baptist green co-ed, I dont think we have many little kids at our games but i will make sure the ones we do have will leave the score keeper alone.

| uh sam the reason why i moved to the pavillion was so the kids would leave me alone and it worked, and i wasnt really in a deep conversation with anyone under there i was paying attention also i dont mind kids or people to come up and ask the score but like i just dont want them sitting with me ..by the way thanks tyson for defending me because i know you had the same distractions.

| No offense but I was at that game and wasnt really paying attention till I saw the umps trying to get your attention while you were chatting with people in the pavillion. I didnt notice the kids around you beforehand but I think if you would have made a kind of announcement to the parents it would have prevented you from having to move. I understand where you are coming from but like I said that particular night there were several of us worried we had a scorekeeper than wasnt keeping track of everything.

| if you don't like what the score keepers are doing or how they do it, KEEP YOUR OWN BOOK!!! that seems pretty simple. im sure each score keeper has something better to do than to hear people cry about stats. keep in mind that they keep score for 4 hours or more then have to go on their computer and type in everything. there is no rule saying we have to have score keepers, so let's enjoy it while we can and hope that none of them say "screw off keep your own score." that would be a nightmare for those who live for the updated stats.

| Damn Burd, thats the most intelligent thing anyone has ever posted on here!! If it was'nt for Dan being such a good guy, theres not a chance in hell I would have done this all last summer or any this summer, and I wouldnt have let Kevin know about it either cause I know how much you have to deal with every night. If only the world was full of Burd's........

| I want to chime in here real quickly.
Stats are not the most important thing in the world. But, people are paid to put them in. THAT is the bottom line. Expectations are that the scorekeepers keep score, do it accurately, be there on time and help out when they can (answer questions on score, inning, outs, homeruns, etc..). That is what the scorekeepers are paid to do.
Kevin/Tyson, I'm not sure what people are asking of you or expecting out of you that wouldn't fit into what you do/did. I'd be interested in knowing.

| first off, thank you tyson and thank you Eric Burd. I cant really understand how me asking for people to take control of their childern has turned to another rant from so many other people. is it really that unreasonable of a request to comply? Its not just the fact that those kids were very distracting, it was also the fact that they were sitting up there with there fingers on the inside of the fence, and they were sitting on the railing and the score keepers desk. sorry for being concerned for there health, next time i wont from now on i wont say anything and when the children get hurt i'll just shake a finger at the parents that should be watching them.I really dont care.It just doesnt seem fair how us score keepers haft to listen to everyones questions complaints ideas and everything but when we have a simple request it turns into a huge deal.

| Kevin, simply tell the kids that they can't be up there. If they do not leave, ask their parents if they could kindly have them play somewhere else. If they have any problems with it at all, give them my number and have them call me immediately. If anyone has any questions about the game, then you are the person to ask. If it has to do with anything else, tell them to contact me.
You're doing a fine job. Just keep score and refer any other questions to me bud. Any problems you have, let me know.

| Kevin, I am really not trying to complain. And I do appreciate what you do. It just seemed to me that being over there under the pavillion was equally, if not more distracting than any kids that were using you for a jungle gym. I do sympathize, I just want to be sure nothing is getting missed. Thats all. Sorry for getting you and Tyson all worked up.

| I was there the night Kevin is talking about and hes not overstating it one bit. There were 3 kids crawling all over the scorekeepers booth. It was terrible.
The thing is, neither Kevin or Tyson should have to say anything to any of the parents. Its the PARENTS job to watch their children. As crazy as it is in todays world, I wouldnt want to be the one to say anything to Mom or Dad about little Susie or Billy.

| hahahaha, I dont know how you got them but wow umm that turned things around those are game breakers no lieing thats a pretty big deal. However, i hate to break it to you. If theres one thing Jason and Randy cant stand its Slimer. and i just signed him with his only request being a brand new Montreal Expos hat and some grape flavored big league chew. and actually im thinking about taking my team in a new direction, 1B is no longer Played by Pujols but more so now by the giant glove in the bleachers of San Fransicos park, yeah he catches everything. Also i got John Rocker, Joe Montanna for some reason. and Bo Jackson as my teams new pitching coach and sound guy.one more thing, my guys all drink BLUE haterade before the games.LIGHTS OUT HOISER.Also my GM is addicted to crack.

| Dear Mrs.Simmons,
Sorry for not responding to your Question earlier. I was involed in a lot of talk with my GM trying to figure ways to afford the talent that i want on my field to play everyday. I dont know if you saw Tyson Bakers team but it went from not much to pretty well stacked. Its crazy. But to answer your question i did make a mistake thank you for bring it to my attention and um root for my baseball team.
