The talk about the loss of parade got me thinking about all the league home ball parks that Class A plays in. Which ones are great? Which ones are terrible? What do ya know about them?

Heres the list:

Concordia
University of St Thomas
Dunning
Humboldt HS
Midway
Arlington
Irondale
Stillwater
St Anthony
Woodbury
McGuire
Kuenkel Field
Como
White Bear
Ft Snelling 1 & 2
NEAF
Parade
New Hope
Miller
Dakota
Valley View
Veterans
Big Willow
Braemar
Minnetonka HS
Red Haddock

Fort Snelling 1 and 2, a.k.a Neimen #1 and #2 are gross. Our catcher hates that field because of the circus tent over the foul ground behind home plate. It's also at a very inconvenient location for everyone coming from the West of the park.

Love the backdrop and location of Parade, but the city has really declined in either their ability or desire to maintain the playing surface.

If you have it in North St. Paul, and let Ryan Naughton pitch on his home mound, it could be a low scoring tournament for Rooster opponents

Is this the same Ryan Naughton who did nothing for St Thomas? Career: 38 appearances, 3.40 ERA, 4-5. ?

McGuire field is a very nice venue. Left-field party monsters to encourage you along with a nice field and good lighting. Is there a team on the east-side that has a better field than the Irish?

McKnight is much better that McGuire. If needed, I can get some drunks to sit in the outfield and down the lines for the atmosphere. Granted it is only 345, it is that way all the way around and with wood bats it is a great field

Watch out for the water problem at McKnight, though. Guys climbin' fences and such.

Rooster29, just bring your team if you need drunks.

While that is true, it seems that we could show up drunk and still beat most teams.

And probably often do, from what I've been told.

Rooster 29, were you all sober against the Stockmen's Irish last night? Apparently the boys over the left field fence neglected to share! Losing twice this year to the Irish, Ouch!
