| Just going by standings it looks like Sport & Spine and the Rosetown A's are a fine team in the St. Paul League, while Green Mill and North End are showing themselves to be solid in the Skyline.
The surprise team for me at this point is the Stockmen's Irish. First, they had a shoddy middle infield last year, however, they changed the line-up quite a bit this year with all those kids from Bethel. I didn't expect much from this crew as it the first year for many of these kids together, but they are a pretty nice team.
The surprise team that is playing mediocre is the Tri-City Shark. I expected to see them at the top of the league, but they are wallowing in the middle of the conference. Anybody know why they have slipped so far? Did they lose a number of players like Stockmen's did? I also thought the Stillwater team might be better than their record as they looked pretty descent last year.
The one team that has lived up to their mediocrity is the Roosters. For all the hallowed worship of their god-like saint - Naughton - they find themselves being mediocre. How is that? Perhaps spending a few less minutes at the Naughton shrine and a few more at the batting cages would help! :-)
Green Mill has played very well in the Skyline for the past three years, but they never seem to do anything come tournament time. Will this finally be the year they show up in post-season or will they be content once again to win the Skyline and then go off into the sunset?

| We've lost numerous players....Jim Pitt, Drew Espeset, Mark Hamburger, Mike Payne. And then some of the regulars aren't quite as regular this year.

| Congrats on beating the Irish last night. The homerun and an untimely error by the Irish as well as some very solid pitching helped you out last night. Do you simply pose a matchup problem for the Irish or is this a game where you begin to turn things around for the season?

| What are the odds of getting accurate, updated standings? I can't gloat or rip on anyone without them.

| The Irish were lucky enough to run into Hamburger and McDonald during our two games. That might have something to do with it.

| I'm gonna make it rain on Stockmen's from Center Field Tonight. Opposing runners don't stand a chance when I unload my cannon. And to you bleacher creatures, hope you bring your mitts, cuz I'm planning on depositing at least 2 over the left field fence... oppo
