| hey, I wanted to get yours and sterlings number if u have it, so I can keep you guys all up dated on the roller hockey situation. I'm going to meet with someone from the Marion Rec. Dept some time early next week and show them pictures of what the park board threw together for us and talk to them about insurance for the league and stuff. | hey snipe, lets go ahead and look at my W's and compare them to the lonely L's. last year wasnt my greatest but i was breaking in new pads. We'll see who the better goalie is this year.

| Hey just so everyone who played hockey last year knows the situation. In order for us to resume play at the Williamson County Pavillion we need to make a Roller Hockey League (SIHL) which means we need insurance. Insurance is'nt that high but we need to talk to the right people to set it up. I've been talking to the marion Recreational Department pretty much all week, my plan is to set up a meeting and have a lot of the hockey players attend the meeting i've taken photos of the roller hockey court at ray fosse to prove that it is not suitable for play, and its far to dangerous. We are also intrested in looking into buying full boards that would be easy to set up and take down if we are able buy those we will probally charge like a 20 to 25 doller per person fee this year just to help pay for the boards and also maybe help genarate some more intrest from people outside of the marion carbondale harrisburg area. These are ideas that are in the works. if anyone has better ideas or anything get a hold of us please.

| I LIKES TEH HOCKIES!!!!! TEH BLUEZ IS BEST TEAM IN NATIONAL LEAGUESZ OF TEH HOCKIEZ! Sorry bout that....but for real anyone who has an interest in staying in shape over the winter, get some skates and play some hockey! Its a blast and you will be hooked after you play one time i promise, also go to Blues games this year, Paul freaking Kariya!

| heres what the blues should have done instead of paul kariya. signed that one guy from nhl04 who was like 150 ft tall who played for the hurricanes talk about puck control and movement not the best shot though but man could he fight!!! Also im pretty sure they should put Bernie Ferdko in net with no mask so he will get hit in the mouth with a puck and never be able to talk or breathe ever again AHHH...( I HATE HIM SO MUCH..) also they need to convince Ray Farrero not to play for your baseball team and come out of retirment.. And the most important thing, put smokey the bear on the roster as a left wing. All those things is about 22 times better than Paul Kariya as far as pure entertainment goes, towards winning a cup...ehh its a toss up.

| this weekend (7/14) i was able to talk to the Williamson County Pavillion events corridnator about using the building for hockey. she told me some things that i pretty much already knew, we need insurance and all that junk and also that we couldnt use the tables anymore. Also,we need to get people from the Marion Recreation Department to meet with the Pavillion so we can all work together to figure out the cost of everything so we can play.The Pavillion is going to work with us to make sure that we are in there this winter but we are deffiently going to haft to charge every player a small league fee to play this year. Its going to be 20 or 25 dollars. I know this is a new thing and im sorry but right now its the only way. Tyson Baker is working on pricing boards and also working to possibly get a grant from the park or city to help pay for them. We are trying to get all of this accomplished as soon as possible so when october comes around were not stuck with our hands in our pockets and our shoulders shrugged wondering why were not playing til january again. If anyone who plays knows ways to help please contact us and if anyone who reads this is some what intrested in playing come out and give it a try its the best game to play and plus it provides the area with something to do in the winter. HOCKEY RULES!!!

| Hey through hard work hockey in southern illinois is finally moving in the right direction, with in the next month or so we are going to by dasher boards to enclose our rink i've talked to the company and these boards are pretty nice and resonably afforadble 3 foot high walls with plexy glass on top for under 15,000. Thank God for pending grants!!! Like we stated before, if you want to come out and play do so!! If not having equipment is holding you back then dont worry about it. A lot of us have extra sticks and skates plus protective gear, Dan Reid gave Tyson a huge bag of wheels last year so if you need to re-wheel your skates and dont know where to get any talk to us. I've played da hockey for about 6 years and i can honestly say theres nuthing like it. One game and you will be hooked we promise. Were working on a website similiar to this one so once its up if your intersted leave your name and contact information. the website will probally be www.southernillinoisrollerhockey.com if not then we'll post it when its done.
