| I am tired of reading all the boo hoo's from the soccer leagues. It is time to have a softball thread. Take a minute and nominate players for the questions below. This is an opportunity to show some respect for the wonderful softball players we have here in the area. Do not nominate yourself (like I would know anyway), but give some respect to some of the local players. Give the player name and team if you can.
* Most feared pitcher- Rudy/ good ole boys- wow pitches falling from the sky and don't even think about going box it's closed
* Most feared hitter- Chad Coleman/ I didn't have to face him in Victorville this season, but I did in Hesperia and wow did he hit my offerings far.
* Favorite team to play against- good ole boys and warthogs- I think their primarily the same players, but wow have we had some great games for championships lately. Congradulations on the most recent one good ole boys/ it is a pleasure to play against you guys and I really respect your sportsmanship.
* Player I'd like to steal as a free agent- Kenny/ good ole boys- 5 tool player, nicest guy around, there is a reason he has a championship softball ring.
* Best defender- my nemesis is charlie (carlos) he plays on too many teams to remember which ones, but a great third baseman and of course thats my favorite place to hit the ball. I also like Kevin and Mike/ outfielders from Flyright- wow those two cover a lot of ground.
Great season all. It was a pleasure playing with everybody

| Most feared pitcher on another team- Dan or Ricky in my opinion....when either one of those guys are on, they set a lot of guys down 0 for 2 and 1 for 3.
Most feared hitter- at eva dell? Alphonso.
Favorite team to play against- Service Rock for good sportsmanship....I have always noticed great attitudes and that they are respectful when they win and respectful when they lose.
Players I'd like to steal as free agents- Jerry Doddy and Josh Thomas as outfielders- a package deal. No fly balls would ever "drop in"!
Best defender- it's hard to say we have so many great players in our leagues. Wouldn't it be cool if victorville had weekly web gems?!!!
Thanks for such great competition everyone. It's nice to great to respond to a positive post. Let's keep it clean and have fun. Enjoy your month off! See you in September or out at BP!!!

| Funny that you feel the need to put someone else down before you pat yourself on the back.Sport is sport I don't care what you play, enjoy it or get over it.

| Thanks for responding soccer player, or whatever sport you play. I appreciate the time you spent to come up with an intelligent thought. This type of post where you show some respect for other teams and players would be nice to read in your sport. I am deeply saddened by the drama, threats, and bad sportmanship that is shown in these posts. It is much more encouraging to show people that you respect them than to constantly complain, intimidate, and belittle other players and refs.

| I agree, lets be positive for once. In my opinion the most feared pitcher hands down is Paul Durham. There are a lot of good pitchers in this league, but Mr. Durham is always clutch. Feared hitter, wow so many, Chad Coleman, Jerry Doddy, Hector from the warthogs, Ricky and the list goes on. A buch of great hitters up here. By far the best team to play against is Service Rock. Those are a great bunch of guys. Always a pleasure to play against such a positive team. I love the guys I play with so to say I would like to steal someone would imply that I wanted to replace someone. But the perfect team is definitely out there for all you managers to build. The best defender in my mind is Bob, plays SS for the warthogs. The man is a vacuum. Havent seen much get by him. Thanks to a great manager Ray of fly right, never seen a more dedicated man to his players. Great season boys thanks. P.S. I will try to make the batters box a quieter place from now on..

| What a great topic.
Best picture: Gladiator. Oops. Pitcher, Mr Paul Durham "FLY RIGHT." He can hit and pitch. Other greats. Alphonso, that dude from "Good ole Boys" and that guy from "Wheels of Steel." The "Calvary Chapel" pitcher is good too!
Hitter: Ichiro, I mean Josh Thomas "Sonshine Auto." Nice level swing. Most importantly, he does not boast or bad mouth his opponents.
Team to Play: Any team that has magically signed on; Jason, Mondo, Raymond, or Hector. Not trying to dog em'. But these guys allow us to measure ourselves more accurately. These gentlemen were actually a part of FLY RIGHT's first Undefeated Championship way back when.
Player to Steal: Chad or Jamie.
Defender: Andre from Cemex/FLY RIGHT. Dude has a gun from anywhere in the outfield and runs like a freakin cheetah!

| I recommended Oro Grande Miners for the fall season for several reasons. Full squad every week. Never used 1 courtesy runner all season and not 1 complaint from any member on the team.Just a team that loves too come out and play and have fun.
Most feared hitter--I'd say yes Chad or Ricky Valentine. Kenny Bice is a tough out too. Not a homerun hitter but on base percentage is high.
Pitcher--I didn't have him this season but Paul gets my vote but beware I'll be suiting up for next season on Sunday Coed. The ol vet is coming out of retirement again.
Hey who was your favorite official?

| Some of the reasons I like to play in Victorville: *Well organized *Prepped fields *Awesome website- lots of time put in, you can tell! *Best competition in High Desert *Efforts made to recruit/retain good umpires *Games start on time
What do you like about softball in Victorville? Thanks for keeping it positive.

| I wasn,t going to reply to tha guy because I didn't think he deserved. But since someone else already did,You are a rude boar!!!If you think someone else's job is so easy try doing it.We could all use a good laugh as you flounder in your ineptitude.Perhaps you should do as your namesake and blast off.I'm sure plenty other leagues can't wait to be graced by ypour wit and expertise.

| Hardlinedrives, Great post! I agree, this site is awesome and really gives us a lot of advantages that other cities in the HD lack. What people forget is that Dave isn't just the Softball coordinator; he handles EVERYTHING and all the sports. He has to schedule the officials for all of us, at all our locations, days and times, as well as making sure the fields are ready for use. Heck, he needs an assistant to deal with the complaints he gets both in person and on this website! Good job, Dave. Keep it up.
