| McDonald threw a great game against a great batting order/team but he should have been less concerned about running his mouth. Anyone who truly knows the game/views it realistically and actually gets it would not think Park's batting order would be one to view as shall we say; overrated.
Park's yougest position starter is 26 and the rest of the line up ranges in age from 30-39. Those guys are a veteran club with a pitching staff deeper then anyone's. They should never be taken lightly.
Again McDonald threw a great game and made some very good pitches against some very good hitters, but I was at the game and I doubt very seriously McDonald has been taken the other way hardly at all and Park was able to that several times.
The game came down to experieince as Park gave them two in the first......the run down or shall we say "hot box/pickle in the middle" was not very pretty at all and that was a huge turning point in the game.
Regardless of what anyone says Park put up ten against McDonald so how bad can they be? The Sharks made four crucial errors and what looked like by choice; McDonald decided to throw at no less then three guys, two of which ended up scoring.....
.....the better and more experieinced team won the game.
Park vs. Wesley? Wow this could be a great game. Both teams can run especially Wesley, both teams can hit, especially Park....The best two pitchers in the tourney for Wesley???? Not sure about that but anyone who watches the game will get to see Shane Wright for Park and probably four lefties in waiting to neutralize Wesley's running game.
Should be a great game, pehaps the best of the entire tourney!
Peaaaaace.

I'm not here to argue, banter back and forth, or stir up the forum. Just responding to you so "I get it."
Where you came up with me running my mouth, is beyond me. Whoever thinks Park's batting order is overrated is an idiot. Park is a top tier team every single year.
No one ever said Park was a bad team and as for throwing at guys; why? I'm not hitting people to put guys in scoring position. If I am throwing intentionally, it's going right between the numbers.
Enough said, Park played well, won the game and should give Wesley Homes a great game.
Just like after the game, I wished every one of the players the best of luck on Saturday.
As for filthy, check the facts before you start assuming things and "running your mouth" on the forum. If you have a problem with, call my coach to get my number. I would love to talk baseball anytime.

| McDonald.....not running my mouth, just having some fun and with all due respect. You pitched very well, your centerfielder is one hell of a player, you did run your mouth from the dugout as did other members of your club but all of that is ok.
This board or any other is mainly all about banter and having some fun; throwing stuff around.
As a baseball guy myself and like you I view things as I see them....in my opinion you may have looked as though you took some things for granted and it was pretty obvious you did throw at no less then two guys based on the situation, how hitters had fared against you earlier in the game (whether good or poor at bats).....Im sure you get it and you know how to pitch but in the grand scheme of things your demeanor looked as though you beleived you had that game in the bag before it ever started.
Again, with all due respect.

I agree, I don't take the forum seriously. It is great fun. I figured since someone was singling me out, I have to at least get my say in.
I would also agree that I and my teammates were chirpy from the bench (as you didn't mention Park players were too), but it's from the competition aspect of things. When the game is done, the "running of the mouth" as you call it is done.
Not sure what I took for granted, and for plunking guys, last night I didn't on purpose (even if the situation could of called for it). With the catch Johnson at the plate, I could of easily loaded the bases with a HBP, but went right at him.
I love a challenge, I love playing great teams like Park. If I had a choice, I would throw against the Tonka's, Park's, Homes, Rosetown's, and every other top tier team out there.
As for having it in the bag from the get go, I have to say poor choice of words. It's called having confidence that you will win the game. If you don't think you can win, you shouldn't be out there.
I'm done ranting on the thread and whether you are a player, coach or a fan Filthy, I wish Park the best of luck. You guys hit, pitched and made the plays and deserved to win the game hands down last night.

| If anyone was considered chirpy last night, it'd be the Park fans, not the two dugouts.
Park played well last night, but it's not like we got run over. If we cleaned up our defense, we probably hold them under 5 runs.

| RickyBergman,
I think Shark are just trying to say that when they play like they play when they play, they will hold Park down to five runs. Then they win 6 - 5.

| Shark Attack, I don't care what fans say from either team they are spectators and can do whatever they want, BUT it was absolute B.S. when one of your players yelled into our section, that has to be controlled. Fans have a right to say "nearly" anything they want.
In regards to our team chirping a lot from the dugout (Stu99) your watching/listening to the wrong team. We don't say crap unless the other team gets out of hand and last night it was a little ridiculous out of the other dugout. Our team did begin to chirp in about the 7th inning and I did tell our team to shut-up.
I'm not sure you've seen us play enough to formulate an opinion on our chirping, but we don't unless we run into a situation like last night (they self-admitted that too) and I still think no matter how bad the other team is it shouldn't come from our dugout and I tell that to my guys.

| Chris come on...you've got to be kidding. I don't know what Mac said, but I'm never more than 100 feet away from the guy and I didn't hear anything.
How about your pitcher showing up the umps every time he thought he got screwed by not getting the strike call? I bet it happened 3-4 times in the 5th & 6th innings. And how about you standing up every time and nearly throwing the ball to third about 3 times before you didn't get the strike call? You're crazy if you think we can't get on you guys a bit for that. No one got out of control on our team, and if I hear otherwise, I'll keep them in line.
The only one really doing any talking to anyone last night was me, and I was talking to the umps, not you guys. They did not have their best game either.

| Man I just wrote a book on your reply and it kicked me out.
The gist of it was McDonald did repeatedly make one comment, I did pop-up ONCE and the pitch was a strike and the umpire admitted it but said I got up early, and both pitchers showed some body language on pitches they were used to having called.
I don't have time to write what I said again, give me a call if you want to discuss otherwise good luck the rest of the way.

Curious. What was the comment I repeatedly made?
For the record, everyone gets chirpy, gets frustrated with umpires, etc. It's called COMPETITION. After the game, I'll be the first guy to congratulate you and buy you a beer!
Chris, you win the tournament, I'll buy the first round down the block at Park Tavern.

That definitely wasn't me. I know exactly who it is. Our whole team knows who it is.
Before you start associating names with who did what, make sure you get it right.
Would you like other people to start calling you out on things you didn't say?
I'm guessing probably not.

| Good Stuff.....where should I begin?
Now that the game is over why talk about it any more however being a true townball fan who watches many games each summer and has for many years I will add in and then move on.
First of all Park does not chirp, they have veteran guys who are grown men, have paid their dues (rights of passage) and they will say what is on their mind. They may blurt things out but it stops unless thins/game situations/poor calls warrant more riff....Park does not chirp.
As far as Johnson standing up on possible third strikes calls SHARK ATTACK hmmmmmm. let me see, that is one attribute of a good catcher; ever hear of selling the play? With that being said unless that guy truly believes it is a third strike he is not going to do it/stand up.
McDonald, you seem a great deal more polite here then you did in the game and as a true fan I have to give you props for your approach. Yes you are confident and that is part of what makes you a good town ball pitcher however, there was one or more players from the Shark dugout that was not thinking clearly in terms of what they said; perhaps it was not you.....oh well.
As far as fans what player, coach or true fan gives a rip what they say? 99/100 are idiots and have absolutely no clue any way. Let fans be fans and players be players but never judege a team by what their fans do as that would be ridiculous!
I will have more banterville here in a moment...peaaaace
