| Stillwater Log over the Mpls Angle 2-0. Quick game. 4 hits for each team. Log made plays-- 3rd basemen is good.
Westley Home over THE St Louis Park 6-0. Westley scratched and clawed to get runs across. Park had chances but couldn't take advantage.
Hopkin and Rosetown just getting started.
Tonka and Shamrock tonight.

| Watched first two game. Angel beat themself. They should still be deadlocked at 0. Angel pitcher looked very sharp, and handled Logger lumber easily. Logger pitching had equally easy time with Angel hitter. Wind is blowing out to right very hard.
Westley Home just got it done plain and simple. Mad prop to them.

| Wesley Homes did a great job, if a guy got on they scored. In the 6 innings they didn't score they went 1-2-3 in all of them. A sign of a very good team that takes advantage of the opportunities they were given.
On the other hand we couldn't push anything across with at least one runner on every inning but the 9th and at least one man on second in 7 of 9 innings. A good pitcher that got tougher with guys on who had a few great plays behind him.

| Props to Wesley as I did not think they would ever get to Fletum to close the game against Park.
They capatilized when needed, Brettigen made two good plays, one of which was nearly crucial and outstanding. They had timely hitting, good pitching and the lefty got tough and tossed outs when he needed to.
Park had a runner on second every inning but the ninth but could not even push one across. They had a couple pee rods with runners on, had a couple bad breaks on other balls either for or against and tonight the better team was the Homies.
Do I think Wesley has the better team?......I have to say no but they are a very good team. Park's batting order is better but again no timely hitting tonight. Each team made a couple errors so that was a mute point for the most part.
Botom line is it would be extremely difficult to beat Wesley over the final two innings if they have a four run lead with Fletum on the bump.
As a knowledgeable baseball person with over 40 years experieince watching and some playing the game I can say with full confidence the following....
.....The obvious favorites to win now are Tonka and Wesley however Tonka has a far better team offenseively and defensively.....pitching? Well that depends on who is out there.
Wesley with a lead late and Fletum would have an obvious huge advantage but Tonka's bating order is just plain salty, with pop, and if given the opportunity they can run as well.
Park as I beleive five lefties and five righties plus Lindstrom (their SS) so there is no team in the entire tourney with more pitching. Park is always in the loosers bracket after the first weekend, they are a veteran club, with a legit batting order and a ton of pitching so I don't think any one can count them out. Although if they win tomorrow they play the looser of the Tonka Sahmrocks game and then should they win that they play the looser of Wesley Stillwater so they have a very tough road ahead of them.
Bottom line is no one wants to see Park in the loosers bracket and if there is one team who would still have enough pitching left come Saturday and Sunday to make a run at the tourney it would hands down be Park......any one of their top 7/10 would be a #1-#3 on probably (seriously) any other team in the state at A, B or C.....their 8,9 and 10 are either a mid to high 80's lefty, a veteran splitty RH or the supposedly infamous Conley who has been around for ever.....rumor has it last year in game three of the playoffs against EP with the series tied at one each Conley game in with bases juiced, no outs and one run lead....four pitches later the game was over and Park was going to state. He is also the oldest pitcher to win an NCAA game (at Concordia St. Paul)......he is so slow and smart good hitting teams have no chance........furthermore I think last year in the tourney he was brought in twice with full counts and runners on but got out of it giving up nothing. With that being said he is old as dirt and I think pitched for Hamel in the mid 80's when alot of players in the tourney were still in diapers.
Well enough for now and please note I tried to stay unconfrontational.

| For the record...filthy is not Conley....Conley would type his own banter.
Im sure they guy has been around enough that he has his own fans.....even if it is conley if you know the guy he is not high on himself he is realistic, easy going, and a plethora of other things that go with that.
Filthy is not Conley....I am filthyless and I am sure Conley will post on here prior to tourneys end.
I am a Riverview fan......a Park and Tonka fan and also give much respect to older players who were out of their diapers as some of you were still in theirs.
I am filthyless, a fan who has watched many town ball games and at other levels through out my years.
I know Conley and if he posted any thing he would sign his name as such but good guess on that one.
