| I am getting married up this weekend so I won't be there. I will be doing everything I possibly can to prevent Dean from making the game next week so the odds will be even. I can have my PNA boys rough him up in the parking lot at the hotel. OR get his wife to commit to them having breakfast with us.

| First comment: it is completely worth trying to finish as high in the standings as possible. How do you beat JRs/Raymond Insurance 1-0? Impossible. Right? Riley, Lemme, Doutilly, James, Douce..Mike Mans, Tommy..those are just the guys I can name off the top of my head...the lineup never ends..and they dont score? Heres why. Having to play that extra game in the august heat. That, and Ian being 6'2" 215 with a laser rocket arm. Second: In the battle of Insurance Titans, Botelho Insurance beats Raymond Insurance. Shes better looking, we have lower rates and a first round victory ; ). Lastly, I have to give Artie his due ..he bombed a 3 run homerun yesterday...I dont know how he even breaks into the lineup with that Allstar team..I just hope that its his last one of the year.
See you next week.

| Oh Ryno...You have no idea what a bind this is putting me in. I have yet to tell "the Wife" that in order for me to make my Sunday morning softball game that we will need to clear out of the hotel by 7:00...at the latest. And to top it off, she says last night that she is looking forward to tying one on this weekend. I was depending on her to be the responsible one! This is going to be brutal. I assume at least a few PNA guys will be in the same horrible situation as me though, correct?

| Oh, when I got home yesterday afternoon my 13 year old daughter asked if we won. When I told her we won the last game 1-0, she just started laughing. That's when the 17 year old chimed in with something like, "Dad, you play like five games a week and the score was 1-0???. We didn't have a 1-0 game all season and that's high school fast pitch." Made me think, I have never played in or even heard of a 1-0 game before. Has anyone ever heard of a game with that final?

| Guapo, I played down in Jacksonville Florida in the A Nationals against a team called Triple A out of seattle Washington. It was pouring rain but we still had to play. They beat us 1-0 in the bottom of the 13th inning. They went on to finish 4th in the nation. Good luck next week!

| I was on the losing end of a 1-0 state tournament game when I played for Interior.
If your wife plans to tie one on, and we all know you are never shy about tying one on, considering it is open bar all night, you might just want to tell the boys you have no chance of making it.
And if that doesn't work I'll have my in-laws do to you what they did to me at my bachelor party.

| ryno two suggestions: 1) don't get married and save all the guys the trouble 2) consult the softball schedule when picking a wedding date. at least make sure next time you get married you check the softball schedule or go for the winter wedding

| Great job to the VFW. Top to bottom they hit it this weekend. We tried to give them a run in the second game but just didn't have the horses. Artie did hit a scud!! As far as 1-0 games, pretty sad. Both teams are pretty good so it must have been the heat.

| Hey Ryno just a little info for you I got married last august 19 and did not plan to play the next day until Craig Riley called my phone at 9am and said we were going to be short and if i could make it so i did what any die hard player woul do and woke the bride up and said get dressed my services are needed. I mean how mad could she get / She wont divorce u. So this year Riley returned the favor by showing up the day after his wedding so I really think u should follow the lead and show up

| 1) you are an illegal player 2) i like everyone else 3) you are an easy target i mean if i had reasons...
but before you completely blame me lets look at you 1)2 extra pounds of coins in your pocket (i don't think your frame can handle 2 MORE pounds) 2)your old body can't handle that many games 3)after all those hits you got, and all those bases you ran, something had to go...it was your knee (wait, i was thinking of someone else getting hits and running bases) 4)it rained today, your arthritis probably was kicking in due to the moisture in the air and the knee just quit
...and great job to you guys. probably the best three games of the year for me, and possibly league wide. nobody should have been eliminated

| You guys should have written the rules of marriage during softball season before I paid the deposits. Getting to the games is not an option. I will list my reasons Smiyy style:
1. Wedding is near Hartford. Nearly 2 hour drive. 2. Open Bar 3. This second act of unselfishness will buy me an additional 2 years of hassle free softball. Just as missing a game last year for a family function allowed me to go to Pittsburgh and Indiana for tournaments without a fight. 4. I planned August figuring I would be going away to a national in September as I usually do. 5. Open Bar. 6. We had no rainouts all year for the first time I can remember. If we had any everything would have worked out lovely. 7. Open Bar 8. Dean is in my wedding party. If I can keep him detained then it will work out even. We are both aging singles hitters will power hitter reputations. 8. Open Bar.

Ryno, I had no idea you were so cunning. And hey, the last time I played against PNA I had four bizombs, as Artie would say. Although Todd was pitching so they shouldn't even count :) I still haven't told the wife about Sunday yet and I'm starting to convince myself that after seven hours of open bar(and let's be honest, we will be drinking immmediately following the ceremony while the pictures are being taken as well) the team would be better off without me.

| I have actually traveled with you. I would say that I have to agree with you. The team is going to be much better without you after you have a long night of drinking. Oh, and as for your bizombs, 2 of them cleared a 265 ft fence by 10ft. The other 2 might have made it out of Clegg. As Ryno stated, you have a power hitter’s reputation but you are getting older and can only hit singles. We should go on another one of those trips. Good Times.

| You got me on two of the balls clearing the 265 foot fence by 10 feet, from what I hear that's still 9 feet further than Artie's bizomb traveled. I can still muscle up (or in my case, flab up) and give it a ball a good ride now and then. Maybe Artie can back me up on this one. First swing of the year was an opposite field bizomb out opf Colt State Park by about 40 feet. Hey, at our ages we should be happy to just still have teams that want us to play. As I remember, you were on the trip where I performed the "gum trick" at Hooters in front of a very stunned waitress am I correct? I have to stick around long enough to see that gems like that are passed down to the next generation. See you tomorrow night at Clegg.

| I remember Bobby was my replacement for that trip. I don't remember why I didn't make that one. Maybe that was the season I was working whacky shifts and didn't play much. The gum trick is a classic. I caught that one from you on the golf course in Virginia the same day Byrnes picked up the Austrian beer cart girl with the classic "throw another shrimp on the barbie"

| As Dean was leaving the hotel around 7:30 this morning I was still trying to stall him by talking to his wife in the parking lot. At which point I looked at Dean and he said "It's probably better for you guys if I do play" I noted his eyes were still crossed and his speech slurred. I suspet he did not play well.
Prior to that I spent a better part of my evening making sure he had plenty of booze in him and I was also trying to bribe his wife. I was about to slash his tires but security came.
