| well i feel there is no way we can have 11v11 until we get more refs we need to have 2 lines and a center or something this is getting out of control and the ref yelling at people saying dont mess with me and other stuff. confused on whose ball it is the frustration and confusion level out there is incredible the ref then lost his cards .went on to tell our team if we kick it out to run the clock its delay of game (it was our ball) and then cards him for it, finds out he (the ref is confused) and still cards our player because its heated and confused WHAT!!!!! then he made a call 4-5 mins later after the play tell me this isnt out of control please omg we just need more control help out there for us and the refs sake and we also need to respect the refs and have better games but its really hard when your getting hurt and this kind of stuff is happening

| You know, if these referees, including myself weren't referees where would the league be ? Ask yourself that.
If you remember, it took awile for the league to grow from just a womens 6 vs 6 league. In the past 3 years, the league has developed a mens 6 vs 6 and the number of teams has grown every year. The womens 6 vs 6 exploded this year with all the new teams. We just had the 1st coed adult soccer tournament and I know that coed soccer has taken 3 years to surface. Now, we just completed the 1st adult 11 vs 11 season, men and womens.
As the league has grown, so has the number of referees. Did you know that the newer referees are still learning how to ref consistantely ! I have done my best to work with them so they can be good refs along with myself.
Believe it or not, I know how to control games ! Do I make everyone happy with the way I control them ? No, Never, that would be impossible. It is easy to critisize referees when you have never done it or you don't do it on a consistant bases. I agree that there should be 3 referees on the field and that will be fixed, so thank you. The 11 vs 11 league will get better !

| It must be hard to be a ref and to be critized every week.. No doubt there is a need for refs but lets also appreciate that badboy is still here taking everyone's heat..
WHY DON'T YOU REF... AND SEE HOW IT GOES...

| Something to think about, whether or not a team thinks a ref is against them or not (from what I found, they simply call it as they see it). Teams still must play the game. It took some teams a while to figure this out, but once they did, they have done well and gotten along with ALL the refs.
I actually seen the new ref go to the Coldwell Banker coach, manager or whatever he is, and tell him to be quiet, this guy was asking the new ref to simply call things consistant. Whether the new ref was right or wrong, the Coldwell guy shut-up. That is the key, when a ref says enough, that in my opinion, is enough. I have seen a ref miss calls, but he calls the same way for both teams, and Bill calls the same for both teams. Learn what the refs call and how they call and this will be a fun league. I do not want to see soccer go away, my spouse plays, I have friends that play and it is a fun game to watch. But please without the fights, curses and threats.

Goal Digger, you make a very good point. Those that do not like the calls, help out by taking a class and become a ref.

| This whole referee movement needs to die. I can't believe we have whining little babies on this forum talking about how the referee didn't do this or that, or needs to do this or that. If you don't like the referee or how he calls the game find another league. Majority of the soccer players in this league don't seem to have a problem. I've had a couple bad calls that I "felt" where not right but I let it go. Grow up and find something else to complain about.

| read it again not bad calls control of the game and confusion you guys i was talking about the refs losing their tempers and not knowing what was going on during the game we all get bad calls it goes both ways but control out there starts with the refs being in control themselves control of sidelines watching the games and i agree when the ref says quiet then quiet refs need to make the calls not the players we do need more refs out there i saw 2 plays yesterday that werent rules but they talked the refs into it one was for us soooo it goes both ways oh well confused!!!

| From the start of the 1st 6 v. 6 league to the end of the recent 11 v. 11 league, I have seen a great improvement from all officials. Not to say there isn't room for more improvement, but they know that and I am sure they are addressing it.
I applaud all the officials for their consistent efforts they contribute on a weekly basis that allow us to continue playing in this league. Thanks, we couldn't do it with out them.

Here is what I think about your " I call it as I see it phrase" Example: You will never say there are other children more beautiful that your own. Why? YOU CALL IT AS YOU SEE IT! that's what I mean about refing your buddies games.

We all paid the same amount of $ to have our teams play. ( why don't you ref and see how it goes). Is like having the fry guy say " hey, if it doesn't taste like a big mac you get back here and make it!" That's crazy.... I would like to know just for kicks, what team was given the least amount or red cards by Bill? Was it Coldwell?

| I believe it was the Ballers. I don't remember personally giving them 1 red card, yellow card but not red.
Coldwell had 2 in the season and I gave out 1 of them.

| Something to think about iggie, three seasons ago Coldwell played Duffy United in the last game of the season for first. We thought we were getting hosed by ref calls and lost the game 0-1 because all we did was whine and complain to the ref about the calls and didn't "play the game." Bottom line if we had played better, not whinned and complained, scored a goal or stopped them from scoring, we could had won the game. Funny thing is, Duffy out played us because of us whinning and complaining. It was not the refs that cost us that game, it was playing a better team on that night along with us worry about the wrong problem..
You may had heard me telling our team a few times, "play the game" when we played last week. I have been able to stand on the sidelines and do this ever since July 15th when I blew my ACL and we have been competitve in every game, luckily winning all. Our team has good talent as most teams do, I simply try to keep them grounded and focused on playing soccer and not yelling at the refs or other team We "play the game" I can not say that enough, it took our team and myself a while to figure that out, but we have. Jack, Bill and the new guy do not perposely go out to sink a team, let them ref, we play and this league will be great and so will you guys.

First, you are right, there are no girls prettier than mine, but there are girls that can play soccer better. I know that and she knows that.
Second, the phrase "call the game as I see it" is a direct quote from a ref that was NOT Bill. They are the refs, they enforce the rules and the players must follow their interpretation of those rules
Third, if that is all that was taken from my post, then the point was missed.

| You guys are complaining about the refs and them being one sided.No one has had more bad calls or calls not made than I have.I am constintly being hit and threatened during every game.Even the games I play goalie.I still do complain about it but I do it on here.I have completely stopped talking to the refs that allow this stuff to happen.I dont even ask for an explanation and I am the captin on the field.So just 'SHUT UP AND PLAY'.Its taken me about 3 season to do this myself because of the passion I have for soccer.But I am not going to let someone that has no idea what they are doing ruin it for me.

| iggie,you keep cvomplaining about bill,but your guy stuck his tongue out at him.Are we 2 years old now.Your guys hit me everytime I got the ball and I didnt say anything.I was getting pulled when I didnt have the ball.Games over get over itYou guys werent goning to win either way.You scored on us because you had 4 more pllayers than us on the field.And you only could score once.everything evened up when we got our 2 other players.And you guys still had more guys.
