| i love how some people think that running this league is easy. next year, why don't you run it and see how easy it is instead of complaining about it? if you dont like it, dont play. not that hard. but to answer your question, i was told that an umpire was sick and the only other available ump was out of town. remember most people have lives outside of softball and things sometimes dont go perfectly. sorry to burst your bubble.

| Well if everyone would get off the umpires.... maybe more of them would be available for duty..
But as it is certain leagues have complained about everything and therefore the umps dont wana babysit...
but im sure... you wouldnt know anything about whining and complaining...

| Seeing this post causes me to add, why didnt someone call me?? Im only available on Fri anyway but could of worked 4. Oh well I was told the leagues almost over for the yr.

| Bob i called you at the first of the year and you told me all the days you could work and this was not one of them so how am i to know if you can work or not most people have plans and dont like to be called at the last min.....plus i dont know if people know it or not but i have a JOB not just softball if you were able to work this game you should have let me know a month ago when i was getting all the umpires.....P S i have your check so let me know how to get it to you......Thanks

| All u gotta do is call and see if im available...You gave me 2 fridays and that was it..no calls after that..Im in the phone book...just mail it to me if you would. thanks. Even though i was told the league is over..i was still available any day but Monday...(school)

| A footnote to that last post...As you gave me games on a couple Fridays...what was wrong with the Fri the umps couldnt (wouldnt) show up? They dont show...im only a hop skip and jump away..
