| The City of Oxnard Recreation & Community Services Program offers a full range of adult softball during the spring months, which should meet the needs of any softball enthusiast.
The Adult Softball Program offers the following slo-pitch softball leagues: Men’s 35+, Senior 40+, Recreation, Recreation I, E/Novice; Coed Recreation, Coed Recreation I, and Coed E/Novice; Church Men and Coed; Women Recreation & E/Novice.
Entry fees are $350 (early registration) and $375 (late registration), along with a $12 per
game umpire fee. The Adult Softball Program awards the first and second place finishers
in each league with team and individual awards. Also, the Top two teams of each league
are awarded berths in the season ending “City Championship”
League play will be offered on the following days:
Monday: Women’s Recreation & E/Novice, Men’s Recreation
Tuesday: Coed Recreation, Men’s Senior 40+, and Men’s Recreation
Wednesday: Men’s 35+, Men’s Recreation, Men’s Recreation I, Men’s E/Novice
Thursday: Men’s Recreation, Men’s Recreation I, and Men’s E/Novice, Friday: Men’s Recreation, Coed Recreation, Coed Recreation I, Coed E/Novice
Saturday: Men’s Church, Coed Church
The Spring League will begin play on Monday, February 25, 2008 with registration set to
begin Wednesday, January 2, 2008 and continue through Friday, February 15, 2008. The Spring League Manager’s Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20th at the Oxnard Recreation Office, 545 South A Street at 6:30 pm.
Games will be played at the Community Center West Softball Complex, 801 Hobson Way; Driffill School Field, Wooley Road & E Street, and O’Brien Field @ Beck Park, 600 West Kamala Street. Game times for Monday through Friday games will be 6:30 pm, 7:45 pm and 9:00 pm. Game times for Saturday games are 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm.
