| Here's a chance to put in your 2 cents. What would you do to improve softball in the high desert if you could do just one thing?
Maybe if we keep this thread constructive and positive we could even get some of our ideas implemented. One could only hope.......

| I would build a softball complex in victorville. Many cities down the hill have wonrderful complexes; even Hesperia has a pretty decent complex. Somewhere to hit that my 12 year old daughter could not hit the ball over the fence. It sure hurts the batting average to hit 6 HR outs a season. It would also be nice to play on a good infield that isn't half quick sand half concrete. Oh the dreams that I have.

| I would try and play the games either earlier in the evening or during the days on the weekends with enough time between games so teams could warm up on the feild for say 10 mins before the game starts. if there are to many things going on during the weekend then maybe a new complex is a good idea. if cost for the staff to be waiting during warm ups adds up to to much then have each team pitch in to pay for the ump each game

| Definitly new complex. EvaDell is way out of date. Too much soccer played at hook. We need a piece of land where we can have 4 fields. I believe this would attract more players from all around. Maintance MUST keep these fields maintained throughout the year.

| Sound great to me! A Softball complex in VV, Fresh clay in the infield, where do I sign up? Maybe we should put in some batting cages to re-coup some of the cost! Then you could take a few cuts before and after the game!

| make it unlimited home runs not one for one, cause its a sad feeling to hit a home run when you werent trying and your out.

| The fields are too small for unlimited homeruns. I have hit 25/30 over the fence. We need bigger fields.

| 25 for 30 all HRs, .833 on HRs alone-sweet! A bigger 3 field complex with 300 foot fields would be cool. Then maybe it could be a 6-12 ft arc. Maybe with bigger fields we could get some larger sanctioned tournaments up here.

| How about a league with 11 defensive players allowed on the field? It would make hitting more challenging and get more players involved in the game.

| How about having a co-ed league where women can use Ultra II's and the smaller ball if they want? It would sure be a nice way to equalize the playing field. It seems like there is always such a disparity between the men and women offensively. A lot of guys play regularly, then bring out their wives, girlfriends, sisters, moms, etc. who often don't play as much or sometimes at all. Then we could nix the HR rule for the ladies. Unlimited home runs for girls. How about it Dave? This is a freebie- won't cost the city a cent. I might make you really popular with the ladies.

| How come the q was asked for each person to give 1 idea & then the same people keep adding another "1"? How about if you're going to play at Eva Dell, we do away with the unlimited arc and limit teams to 1-up and you bombers quit whining and learn to hit singles! We all know the best hi-arc pitchers hold the advantage.

| If you look at the average runs scored in a game for the past two seasons it seems that there are few teams struggling to score runs. With an average of 18+ runs per game I would say that the advantage is still with the hitters; although I will admit that having a good pitcher does help neutralize the disadvantage of facilities a little.

| if you want the bombers to learn how to hit singles then you learn how to hit unlimited arc and dont worry about how many times people reply

| Don't get so excited about HR's at ED Park Mr. 9 games. It is definitely about the arc! not the amount of runs scored, in softball with or without the longball there are or should be plenty of runs scored? Just because EDP IS the best high arc pitcher in the park... what a surprise you would defend it.

| We play with a 1 up rule now......
Build that 300+ft. field with a 6-12 arc and I'm there. Evadellpower would have to change his name though.....ranchocucamongapower just doesn't have the same ring to it either. How about overthe315ftfenceaccrosstheparkinglotandintothetruckingyardpower? Kind of a bear to type in each time you want to make a post.
