| We were not sure about the new rules with running out home runs. As I have whined about before I think it is silly to have to run them out. We came to an agreement with the Stallions and the umpires that the batter only had to run to first and the baserunners could just walk to the dugout. What is our official league stance on this?

| You are correct Ryan. We agreed at a meeting that with a HR, you just have to touch 1st and the other runners can just walk off the field. It helps speed things up a bit too.

| I'm going to take this laziness one step further. Why the fuck do we have to even touch first? So some little homo can cry "He didnt touch first. Appeal!"

| Im going to go a step further than you, Ernie. Why do certain hitters need to even get up off the bench? I say there should be certain hitters in the league that are just understood to hit homeruns. So why make them swing the bat? They're above that. Its like the opposite of an intentional walk.
Ryno, I can only hope one day I'll understand how it can actually get annoying to round the bases after a homerun. To show you how different we are in that respect, after I hit the 1 homerun I hit against then Mert's Village Pub last time I played for Baxters a couple of years ago, I put my head down to run the bases like I'd done it before (even though I hadn't) just to get to first and realize my teammate on first is still standing there because he didn't expect it to go out. Yeah it was embarassing.

| I am not against running them out because I am lazy. I don't lead the lead in doubles and triples because I am lazy.
It is stupid to do. It wastes time and the umps never watch anyway. Maybe the new umps would watch but the old ones never did.
Then you have a bunch of Barry Bonds that take their sweet old fucking time so they can gloat about their 280 ft bomb that they hit from a 5 mph underhand pitch.
It's just a time wasting annoyance in every aspect.

| WOW! No wonder why our wives call this an old mans sport. Why even get up of the sofa, we should all just hit from the sofa. I am sure alot of us could use the exercise. On a serious note, it will speed up the game. This of course will leave us more time to drink.
