| What gives on the umpire front? Animosity, Greed or Favoritism??? concerning having the same umpires doing Monday nite games there?? As I remember there was a scheduling meeting to determine who does what on what day... Gossip has it that Robbie decided on this. Any comments from the gallery?

| Ok different yr same ole crap..
Everybody thinks they can run the leagues better tha those who are doing it.
1! Alot of umpires dont wna call co ed games... so when i have 2 approach me and tell me they would love to do Monday games... and the fact that we are going with just one ump.. i gladly say yes t those to ver gracious and very competent individuals..
2! as for friday night.. i didnt attend the umpire meeting do to prior engagement in st louis.. but thats when the umps tell you who can work what. and i am sure that we got some very capable umpires to do it.. and im sure you sir or maam will complain!
So how about you post a name next time you wana complian... and then you run the coed next yr.. ill gladly let you handle the calls and the emails and the text messages..

( no exclamation points following my numbers cause i've never been excited to say one.) however i just wanna throw it out there cubs suck!! alfonsio soriano sucks i in 20 years have never seen a worse out fielder. seriously good luck cubbies. kerry woods really good to. they sure are built to win :/

| Cubbie Fan, to get on here and throw out "Animosity, Greed or Favoritism" is pretty far off point. It's a real load off of someone's mind, who is running a league, when they know they will have a competent and reliable person that is going to work.

| yes max it means noone else in the ASA is capable to call single games...only the favs. In my view, the Monday nite games shouldnt be ASA sanctioned at all..and I'm not alone on that. Hire your own officials...dont contact the ASA cause I know for a fact that noone that is not doin Monday nite games will NOT sub for any of the "expert" officials u will have on the field this year (on Mon nites). Just an opinion.

| Ok here it is in a nut shell..
I am very thankful for all the umpires who are wanting to work coed this yr..
But when i know i have two that volunteer to do mondays for me.. i jumped at the chance to already have that covered.. and have one less headache.
I apologize if i stepped on anyones toes.. or did something wrong.
As far as the talking at the meeting behind my back.. ill be at the fields almost everynite this week if you wana come talk.
So once again sorry to hurt anyones feelings.. now enuff of this... LETS PLAY SOME BALL!

Listen man, it had nothing to do with favorites, umpires who are better than others, or anything like that. If you want to blame someone, blame me. This is Robbie's first time scheduling umpires and he had 2 guys who said they would do Monday's, so he told them they could have them. It is that plain and simple.
You know me and know that I'm a fair and honest guy, so hopefully you believe that what I'm saying above is true. That being said, I'm going to keep being honest. I think for you to come on here and to CONTINUALLY handle this situation the way you have is 1) unprofessional and 2) childish. To be an adult and not exercise critical thinking regarding this situation, knowing that it's a new person who is running this portion of the league, before coming on here and handling this like you have is another frustrating thing that those who volunteer their time to make this league happen get to enjoy.
Thank you for that. There was nothing personal towards anyone. This has been blown extremely out of proportion. I honestly hope that you show as much enthusiasm and energy in umpiring games this year (getting in position to make all calls for example) as you have shown in dealing with this dire situation.
