It was brought to my attention by the Pgh. Park Permit department that they are going to be more strict concerning the conditions of the infields as it relates to the rain.

They DO NOT want anybody that uses those fields to damage the infields by playing on it when it's muddy. They said that the little league association that uses those field have a lot of "pull" and can get current permit holders REVOKED if they find them responsible.

For obvious reasons, I am asking all managers to use CAUTIOUS JUDGEMENT when playing on those fields.

I will also be contacting the head of umpires to relay this information so that they can use their un-bias judgement on this issue as well.

I'm letting everyone know this now, so that nobody gets pissed and I get a million complaints about a game being called. I'm more concerned about keeping the fields for the league as oppossed to playing a game one Sunday.

I hope you all can understand this importance and cooperate in full.

Thank you for your help.

The Little Leaguers can't buy the beer until they're 21, and by then, they'll be part of the over the hill beer league.
