| i found out last night howie the owner of the village pub is in the hospital in serious condition with liver problems. like the fire wasnt enough know they have to deal with this too. howie has had a team in this league longer than anyone i believe we should as a league come together and try to do something to help the hopkins out of this horrible time in there lives. any ideas?

| I think I've been in this league since just after Howie started sponsoring and I've got to say that he's always been supportive to not only his team(s) but to the league as well.
You're right Hodde, if there's ever been a time that we can support someone who's always been there for us, it's now.
If we can put together a Steak Fry/Auction, I can have some Sports Memorabilia (Sox, Celts, Pats, NASCAR, yes...even Yankee) items provided to auction off with the proceeds going to Howie's family. We're playing your team tomorrow so let's talk about it then.
I'm sure I speak for everyone on CM when I say we'll do whatever we can to help out.

| i booked upstairs at club jogues for july 26th saturday for a steak fry . to benifit howie and the village pub. ive heard they could be struggling money wise though and was thinking if every team took a collection sunday and if everyone donated 5 dollars we have like 300 players that would be 1500 dollars and i dont think anyone would go broke donating 5 dollars.what do you guys think of that idea . it would be nice to hear from all teams on this thanx

| there is a meeting this coming Monday the 23rd and if the team rep's can agree then you should pass the hat at the field the weekend before(or when ever) the event and then all teams are represented and you are right Rob....$5 won't hurt but at least it can be done respectivly

| artie called me and july 26 he is doing the golf tourney so im gonna try and do it july 27 but i still think all teams should collect this sunday we dont need a meeting to see if we wanna help them out. club jogues will collect sunday i hope the rest of the league does also i was told vfw was gonna collect also

| Good ideas but why not do the obvious hodde. Have a tournament with the entry fees going to the family. Use your head you little drunken hard on!
You can even make it mandatory that everyone wears jean shorts at the game just like you hodde!

| i think i speak for most if not all the harris guys in saying we will do what we can to help, ive personally known d hops for a while now and anything that could help him and his family out im down for cuz i know he would do the same. let us all know what everyone thinks is the best ideas, whether its decided at the meetin or at the bars. ernie that idea about everyone wearin jean shorts is priceless

| A-Plus is in for whatever you guys need, (except for a low intrest rate). I can definately hit my team up for some loot and any steakfry or other shit you guys need.
