| As a lot of you already know by now my dog, sugar was attacked by 2 pitbulls at ED Thursday night whose owner was a homeless person. Police didn't anything. I just want to tell you all that some of you had concerns about this issue some time back on this bulletin board but I just went through all the pages and couldn't find it. If someone can find it here let me know. If you don't find it Dave must of deleted from the site. I don't know why he would do that. I'm presently building my case with city hall trying to get this item on their agenda. If anyone wants to help let me know and I will keep you informed what the city does. Do you guys wonder why these homeless have these large dogs? Pets? Yes perhaps must mostly for protection when they are back in the river. The dogs warn them of intruders. I got this information from animal control today. Thank God sugar wasn't hurt that bad but the bill came to $174. The City of Victorville has an annual grant of $18,000 to care for these homeless plus a $35,000 grant to fix the roof of their shelter. I think I will request funds from this grant to pay for the attack.

| hey kenny i agree that they realy shouldnt have there dogs running loose , but we got to remember that there not bums there homeless PEOPLE , most are not living in a park by choise , ive been there as a young man with 3 kids and a drug addict wife , but luckely we had a car to live it , we need to get them under control and let them know were watching our part , if there gonna have dogs keep them tied up , like we do ,let i have kids that come and play at the park and got to watch them closer now , but for the most of the homeless there people that have no other place to go , maybe a little food , go through your closets get all thoughs clothe we dont wear , let them know we care about our ballfield and they need to fallow some rules and by winter they will have to find a warm place to go , we get to comfordable in are airconditioned and heated homes some times, i pondered on this all night but have been there had to say my piece ,

| I don't know who WEWON is but I never referred to them as bums, only homeless. I understand you with their needs but these dogs are a threat I'm living proof of that. As I mentioned this will not go away and I'm presently in negoiations with city council to remedy this issue. We can't wait till a child is hurt.

| Hey Kenny WEWON is Al from Al's Rv. They just need to go some where else to hang out we have dogs and kids that we bring to the park we should be able to have a good time and play ball and not have to worry about a dog attacking someone or something. They are homeless cause they do not want to work trust me i have asked a couple of homeless people when they say work for food its not true they tell me no so it is there choice to be BUMS they are LAZY.

| so what your saying is that because you asked one or two bums that were begging on the side of the road to work for food and they said no, then all the homeless living in the park are lazy. Wow, that does not seem very logical to me. As a kid my dad was in prison and my mom was hooked on drugs. I spent over a year and a half living in parks just like evadell. Eventually, with help we were able to overcome the setbacks. It is harsh to judge even one person based on anothers actions. Many of the homeless at the park are great people. Try talking to them once in a while instead of down to them. You may learn something about humility and humanity. Let no other make judgement except he who was born to make judgement and sits at the right hand of the father.

| hey did the cops ask the people for there dog license. i would asume they were not licensed and should be taken from them. also the poor dogs are probably starving which is why they might attack anything it thinks is prey. and that could be a serious problem if its a small child next time. the dogs need to be cared for and need a home or become wild and unpredictable

| I was just contacted my Mike Rothschild, city councilman for Victorville, and he is forwarding my complaint around city departments. He said he will get back to me next week. I care for all the players, players families, and their pets who attend this park for recreation.

| The problem isn't what you call them,it's what the are transients.I feel for them but I can't let that cloud my judgement. If they do not have a residence they should not have a pet period. I understand they are probably keeping some of these animals from being put down. I know the last thing animal control wants to do is pick up more animals especially as overburdened as they are.I don't want to take anything from these people who are already down, but we have a responsibilty to our law abiding citizens to keep them safe and if these dogs attacked they need to be destroyed.

| And I really hate to destroy animals for irrespondable owners. But what can you do? I've seen same homeless out there for years. We have grants to help them and many of you help with clothes and food stuffs. I was so down on my luck many years ago I could of been homeless myself but I started in my trade in 1976 at minimum wage,$3.00, being married too and got on my feet and today I'm financially free. Too many people seem, especially young kids want the big bucks right away. I would hate myself if I didn't progress with this issue and a child gets harmed. I even told several homeless out there how to get certified to call balls and strikes for extra income.

| I think I'm hurt more now than my dog. During the attack I started kicking the 2 pitbulls and slipped and fell on my back. On Friday I noticed my back really hurting more than usual. Today I could hardly walk and may have to go into doctors office Friday if it doesn't get better. It's bad gang and don't know if I will be able to do my last games tomorrow. Will keep you posted.
