| As I sit here bored waiting for 7:00 so I can get out of work. It got me thinking about what some of you board guys have for pregame routines. Especially at 6:00am. I go to my fathers house and take a quick nap on his couch for about an hour.
EW and Mertog - Both night shift guys like me so probably alot of coffee.
Ryman - You just know he pulls out and rolls off his glove at 5am, puts on his jock, and heads to Hunters for early BP to break in yet another bat that he will ground out with.
Mac - Limps to the medicine cabinet to get some Vicoden. Is now well prepared for a day of drinking.
Artie - He doesn't sleep. He rests one eye at a time while he makes out dozens of lineup cards to cover every possible scenario when guys don't show up.
Smitty - Slithers out of bed as to not wake Kate. Quietly gets all dressed up in uniform. Grabs his gear and trips over his batbag. Which wakes up Kate who proceeds to unleash a tirade on him because it is 4am.
Guapo - Doesn't go home. He goes straight to the games from wherever he was drinking Saturday night.
OAWMF - The old wake n bake.
Ok that killed some time and got me through a half a cup of coffee.

| I will have you know Ryno, I don't ground out. I have, however, been popping up like its my job. I also haven't bought a new bat in over a year. The therepy has been really helpful in that regard.
......and I would take BP at 5am if I could find a pitcher

| Ryno I'm a night guy but i usually have a few beers (wine-shine if it's available) by the water in Quonsett after work then head to the field.

| funny..heres mine. Uni is layed out on living room floor the night before so there there is no hunting around for sh&t in the am. Off to DnD med black ice , bran muffin and a paper. The new D&D on 102. Sit in the parking lot listen to the radio, read the paper, eat the muffin top only. The day is only going down hill from here. Get to field too early....coffee kicks in..thank God we're not at Raven Wood...................

| BoBo (aka lb4lb), Why is it you seem to be able to make most of the other games now, yet missed VFW? I find this behavior suspicious.

| the short answer is : to keep it fair. You will notice that me and Guapo never appear in the same game. Ian calls me when Dean cant make it. In addition I was in Ohio the week of the big VFW game.....just got my 8th game in this year....only 28 ABs or so,,,,remember silent assassin, I am your biggest fan. see you in late august maybe..............

I was originally thinking about writing that you pop up but karma has a way of ass fucking me so I didn't want to chance popping up all day. And it worked I didn't pop up at all.

| 5:35 AM....are you fucking kidding me? Why is this fucking alarm going off at 5:35AM....oh yeah, because " THE WIFE" did not change the alarm time from her weekly routine, so now that I have been in bed for a whole 20 minutes now,,,there is no way I'm falling back to sleep.
6:00 am stumble down stairs with a cup of coffee already in a pissed off mood and log on to the computer...sure enough there is another post from Ryman...Kirby this and Kirby that and Patriot Oil this and this bat and that bat...blah blah blah. Snnzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzz (Thank God for Ryman the Human Sleep inducer)
8:15 I'm awake again because now the kids are up and my son is whacking me in the back of the head with a wiffle bat..." Daddy you awake? Daddy can you pitch to me?" How do you say no? Plus the little fucker is armed and dangerous.
9:00 AM all pitched out for the time being, time to start calling people to make sure they are awake. I get bitched at because the games aren't until 12:00PM......my bad.
10:00 AM Listen to the wife bitch about how nothing is getting done around the house today and how I should be home doing something constructive.
10:30 Police arrive on scence and draw a chalk outline around the limp mound of flesh that is the wife after being choked out.
11:00 AM Throw on the Uniform and head down to the field, might as well watch PNA/VFW play.
11:30 PNA/VFW hitting way too many homeruns, you've got to be kidding me this thing is going to go on all fucking day.
12:00 This fucking game won't end
12:15 Still fucking going
12:30 This is getting ridiculous!
12:45 Game time!

| I have a great pregame ritual. show up 1 hr before the game with two other guys and watch the other team stretch, throw , and take some bp. stand there for a good 45 min till someone drunk stumbles out of there truck and comes down in flip flops. Very Annoyed by the waisting of my time i make a comment and run out to my position on the field. Next thing you know we split with shamrock, have a guy pitch and complain about everyone who isnt there. Then proceed to take himself out of the line up hop in his truck and leave. Come back with a 30 pack like everythings allright. I swear guys you should really try it some time.

| F. The one position I play on Patriot, and a guy with nearly a foot and 85lbs on me is campaigning for it... Can I offer you a handsome sum of money to renege your candidacy? Possibly throw a bit of coin Smitty's way to pull that post from the record, and we can all forget that it even happened? Seriously, if you came to Patriot, they would make me fight Kirby in a cage match for the right to play catcher... not because I'd be a good catcher, but because they've never actually seen a grown man literally eat another (struggling to be a full-sized) grown man.

| Im just puttin it out there not lobbying for anything. plus i almost hit kirby with a throw when he was on second so im not so sure i am allowed to get to close to him with out getting my arm chewed. im hopeing he thinks im left handed so he stays away from my throwing arm. hahah.

| ahhh ryno i read it and almost fell off my chair laughing.... i actually prefer percocet not vicoden but nice try.
alrite normal sunday morning,
get home 230ish, wake up about 630 piss out some of the alcohol in me from the night b4. go back to bed alarm goes off at 845 hit snooze 5 times roll over and decide if i wanna do the girl who is in my bed this weekend, 95 % of the time i do her, get up brush my teeth piss out some more alcohol
920 realize damn im dehydrated,look in the fridge and see that there is absolutely no food, no drinks other than beer. grab a beer for the ride stop by cumbys grab a bottle of water, some gatorade and a powerbar
935 pull up to the feild see that there is either 5 or 6 of the guys there (the sober ones) throwing and taking a lil bp. stroll up to the field talk about how drunk everyone was the night b4
955 pretend to stretch and get loose for the game 90 % of the time stumble over to the other teams dugout to see if there as drunk as we are and if not offer them some drinks stand around for another 10 minutes cause no umpires show up early to raven wood cuz its in the sticks then go on to either play or lately sit on the sidelines and do the book, get pissed off halfway thru the 2nd inning because i want to play then put the book down and start yellin at my team or just start talkin to the guys on the bench about ultimate fighting, or how badly i want the red sox to lose every game the rest of the season haha then proceed to end up at the harris and put in a good 8 - 10 hour day over there drinkin.
