Does anybody find it odd that a team would have a 21 day break with no games scheduled to play?? What luck... right in the middle of prime holiday season, when the water temp at the cottage is perfect and you don't have to worry about getting back to the city to play a baseball game until the 11th of August. I wonder who does the schedule...Hmm?

The holes in our schedule exist for many teams. I agree, it sucks. I'm certainly not prepared to spend hours/days of my time to rework it. No use complaining about it. Either step up, run for the executive and fix it, or shhhhh !

Hey Chris G., looks like you’ve found a volunteer to help with next year’s schedule. Ask Sharpie.

By the way, if you’re going to fire off accusations, get the facts straight Mr. Sharpie. On the original schedule, there were 6 teams scheduled to play on Wednesday August 6. When the Golf Committee finally decided on a date, all those teams had to be re-scheduled. And yes, included in those 6 teams was DST.

Gimme, I must apologize. I was unaware that golf could only be played on Wednesdays in Markham.

Corkscrew, As someone who did the scheduling for many years, I'm not sure I understand your comment. When I started doing the scheduling, I inherited a well balanced schedule. The only tweaking I did was to ensure every team played 1 game during a short week. Rescheduling for the USPL golf tournament is understandable but did all of the DST games originally scheduled for late July get rained out ?? I assume there is a valid explanation for this but it should be a reminder to the Executive that they are careful to ensure they don't put themselves in a position that can be interpreted as beneficial to their own team.

Never suggested that Fuji. Just know that there are some quirks in the current schedule for some teams. There are gaps in the schedule for a few teams as well as some back-2-back games against the same opponent. Don't know why, but this happens. Like I said, I'm not prepared to invest my time in fixing it, I'll just show up when I'm scheduled.
