| I know we had some discussion about a " Game of the Week" and Rob from CLub Jogues has exspressed that Club Jogues wouldnt mind hosting the game at 12. I was curious what other people thought about that?
I would think it might be a little difficult now that the schedule is out but maybe we can look at each week and see if there is a chance for 1....
Something along the lines of Club Jogues vs A-Plus...student vs teacher
PNA vs VFW....need not say anything there
Crow vs Botelho's...again nothing need to be said there...
Delpadre Vs Moulton....lot of swaped pleayers there
What are other people's thought's

| A+ vs. Club Jogues for sure. I don't see any reason why it has to be top teams. Besides all the player acquisitions, the biggest story in the Coventry softball offseason is the Gopher/Club Jogues split. If anyone can think of any other good storylines to lead to a game of the week, make them known. Also, after the A+/CJ game, homerun derby between Gopher and Hodde. Prize for winner TBD.

Definately A + vs Jokes, ( the battle of former lovers )
CM vs Doorley. Most of the harris guys went to either of these teams, thats kinda interesting.
VFW vs PNA Need i say more ( huge game )
Bothelo vs Crowe. Dione takes the crowe, Bob Bothelo takes the crowes players. ( ironic )
PUB vs Rochs. It just never gets old former teammates vs former coach.
This however is the problem i have with it. i know i speak only for myself but, if i have to move my home game at nike site to club jokes whihc makes it easier for either team to hit a home run or theres no wide open right side it kinda ends up screwing the team and i am not sure id want to move a home gaem to a different field. this is where the problem lies.
I think its a great idea it just doesnt seem like itd work seeing how every game for the lower teams is a playoff game one loss could keep you out of the playoffs and if that loss came while you moved fields to accomodate for everyone elses delight so they can get drunk and watch, Well that kinda sucks.

| It is a great idea in theory, however there are major problems with it as well.
The first is as you so adeptly pointed out, no one is going to give up a home field advantage to play at Club Joques. I know I'm not, I'm going to need every advantae I can get this year.
Secondly and I know there is no way around this other than to sound like a complete asshole but here it is in a nutshell...I'm not going to spend my money at Club Joques I'm spending it at On The Roch's and supporting the guy who pays for my team. I think the same applies to other teams whom have bars/restaurants as sponsors. You'd be foolish not to. Club Joques will certainly improve business this year by picking up the firefighters who I'm sure will support that bar very well.
For me it is nothing personal, it's just I have an obligation to my sponsor first and foremost and Jerome treats me and my team extremely well and I have to treat him well in return.

Why Not game of the week ...stays at the field off the schedule. Game of the week is so other people can SEE the game. All we have to do is change the time...not the field. I know for some it might be tough to redo the time because of the "other half" some of us have but if we know ahead of time it could be easier.
Stay at the scheduled field unless it is agreeed upon by the managers of the team in question

| I dont like the game of the week idea for the reasons mac and mark pointed out, but Gopher you missed the point of having it at CJ. CJ is a private field and allows us to get drunk at the game vs. having soccer dads calling the cops on us for drinking a six pack.

| Sounds great. Love to see a week 15 game of the week between the crowe and bothelos/victormoffit/cafegianna/livestrong match-up. It would certainly strenghten the colusion that Smitty/Bobby are afraid of the Crowe which is why the President(acting) and treasurer scheduled the game until the last week of the year hoping that everyone on the Crowe hates each other by then. Great strategy, most likely will work, but if not it doesn't hurt by signing our three best players
