| Thanks for the advanced notice. NOT. It was barely even raining, I can't believe the games were cancelled. My whole team was there. You could have posted it on the home page. Thats were I checked before I left the house, and nothing was posted. This is ridiculous.

| Ummm, yeah, I totally agree. Soccer is an outdoor sport, and is suppose to be played in the elements. I've never experienced games being canceled like this in any league that I've ever played in. It's complete nonsense.

| I'm sorry that I was unable to post earlier, but I was there 1 hour before and the rain was off and on. But the wind wasn't.
I went on the field and the rain was the kind that blows in your face and the wind makes the rain feel like little needles.
That is why I cancelled the game. Also the big rain cloud finally got there at about 6:15 and the rain became a little harder and the wind was picking up.

| Those of the players that have played at Mesa Linda know how when we played in the rain, the grass does get messed up.
We are borrowing Mojave Vista and we don't want to mess up the fields in case it is going to rain the entire night.

| I was there at 6:20, and the rain was barely coming down. I don't even think it rained after that. Bad Call!!! Now we have to extend the season again. Are they going to extend the early registration cutoff????

| I went with the " better safe than sorry" method.
I stayed until 6:45 and a total of 4 men showed
up and I saw no women.
Unless you were in your care and there were 2
cars that probably had women in them, you were
only 1 team.
I myself like reffing in the rain, but I know
that the majority of the league does not want to
play in the rain, from what the players tell me

| Come on, this is the winter season league and if players don't want to play in the rain then they shouldn't sign up in the winter. Its outdoors... you work with what you get, as far as the weather is concerned. And that's not the reason the games were cancelled. Everyone is so concerned about the fields getting messed up, its not about the "comfort level" of the players. I've never had a game canceled because it was too hot to play. Why?? Because it being too hot doesn't mess with the field. Hot or cold, you play, thats it...
