What do people think about getting a PA system for the field? There are some outdoor ones around $300. Some even have the capabilities to dock an I-pod right to it for easy playlist shuffling.

Only if Meyer is the PA Announcer.

it would be pretty sweet, but i think we should work on getting a drag for the field first, so if anyone is planning on getting a new bed and wants to ditch their old mattress...

A drag is the #1 priority and I have my eye on a few different models already. We have enough in the budget for other items after the drag this year and I think the PA system would add a nice touch of atmosphere. We could probably get something that could be ran from the dugout.

What are we going to pull a drag with? Lyle was getting about .5 miles to the gallon and Harley's truck doesn't go any lower than 18th gear. Maybe Chuke's brother-in-law needs to make a donation.

I think proper piece of bedroom furniture would be a box spring worn down to nothing but the springs and needs to be pulled by an equally destroyed tractor push-started big joe! Oh, was this a discussion about a PA System? haha Questions to be answered... would it have perminant outdoor waterproof speakers or what? And who would be in charge of operating it and transporting it to and fro? Lots of untangable unknowns about a PA? Do we turn into a fan friendly club or play our type of music?(whatever that genre is who knows?!)

Big Tone here just touching some bases. I'm trying to get a head start on the Total bases stat. First off, I'm in the process of buying a Cub Cadet rider with an aerator, disc and trailer. With them items I would like to be in charge of taking care of the field. I also have enough chain link fence or an old box spring for a drag. If no one objects, I pronounce myself head grounds keeper since I live 2 miles from the field. Hell, I might even pronounce myself Teddy the Hotdog man.

A PA system would be pretty sweet. And no matter the atmosphere at the ball park my walk up song is "Bring your daughter to the slaughter". I think 1e will appreciate that one!

A little Maiden might get the boys a little too fired up, but I like the idea.
I also like the idea of being the FieldKeeper, but you might have to get that self-proclaimed title from Johnny B.!!!

Nice Baso Battery plug. What's the word on the PA system. I've been making a mental list of entry songs for everyone.
