| With opening day around the corner and a lack of softball talk on the forum lately (with the exception of none fun stuff),I felt like making some predictions of the upcoming season. Here we go!
-if young Gayman get's enough at bats to qualify, he will lead the league in homeruns but won't crack the top 5 in RBIs.
-if TL thinks they can't win without the older guys, they won't.
-Kent's total homeruns go down from last season, but he leads the league in batting average as he becomes an even more complete hitter.
-6 teams will score 500+ runs this season.(Remax, Harding, DST, CP Grocer and Jakes)
-3 teams will score under 250 this year.(Kelsey’s, Kavanagh and School)
- Kenny Duncan will hit 2 legit, fence-clearing homeruns this season. Both solos.
-2 players on Jakes will hit 20+ homeruns this season.
-Wild Wing win 10 games and score 350 runs.
-Jimmy, Adrenalin, Slump Buster, Gimme, and Xamer will regret reading yet another long-winded post and finally reply.
-the regular season will be won and lost on offense. The team that wins the championship will be the one with the best defense.
-James for CP will fall a few homeruns short of winning the Triple Crown.
-a weekly poll will be taken as to whether the league thinks I should stop writing this crap
Have fun all!

| Knight, Though I do sometimes regret wasting valueable minutes of my fading life reading some of your drabble, most of the time it entertains me. I would vote for you to continue to still have forum access. Take that as a compliment.

| OK Knight, here are your answers....
Jeff probably won’t get enough at bats. And if he does get enough at bats and doesn’t lead the league in homeruns, then I believe 3 - 10 pitchers in the league will be in hospital beds wishing they never learned to pitch.
The Travel boys can win without the guys they lost, and it wont be that hard they just need to play smart ball. Just like every team does... pick and choose when to use the homeruns and make sure if u hit a solo shot there is NO way the other team can make a come back. I know if someone on my team hits a solo there not going to hear the end of it from me. I think people under estimate the Travel men, they will surprise some teams there still a good hitting team and the outfield they have is mighty good.
There is no way Kent can surpass the amount of homeruns he hit last year (ONE), now he has about 8 guys on his team who can put one out every at bat. Unlike when he was with the Plumbers, but I foresee a lot of inside the parkers for him. The kid has speed and the right field line down perfectly.
I have no idea about runs nor do I care.
Duncan shouldn’t even get it out of the infield, if he plays.
I don’t think there is enough homeruns to go around for Mike and Paul to hit 30 a piece. If they do I will eat my words and congratulate them both.
I think Wild Wing will win more games I don’t see 15 this season. My guess would be 12 or 13.
The guys don’t mind reading your post but they are way to long.
Remax has already won if you believe what is written in this forum.
James wins everything else let’s let someone else win this one.
Poll.... Taken. Keep them coming.
Stay Tuned for updated standings predictions...

| Over the years, as a player you come across numerous athletes that all come with their own skills set, personalities, quirks, etc... I think it is fair to say no two athletes are the same in that regard. One athlete may be a nice guy, but terrible at the plate. Another guy might hit the cover off of the ball, but can't buy a friendship over the summer because he's too much of a primadonna. Those will our challenges in 09 to separate the two types. Let’s all have fun with it boys. Travel over Grocer in the final.

| After the first month of the season, there have been no surprises except the plummet of Remax. The bottom feeders of 08 will have a repeat performance with the exception of Travel and The School. Harding the former Jakes are the teams to beat after reviewing the YTD standings. The intimidating teams are Angus, DST and the Plumbers and the scariest part is, they show no signs of slowing down. Here are my picks. 1. Harding 2. Vis/Ed 3. Complete Plumbing 4. Unionville Arms 5. Wild Wing 6. Crupi Law 7. Blacksmith Bistro 8. Flakeboard 9. DST 10. Angus Glen 11. M.A.S. 12. Village Grocer 13. Travel 14. Kelseys 15. Remax 16. Griffith 17. The School 18. Digital

| Hard express. One of the best late night drunken posts you have ever done. And you are a man that does a lot of late night drunken posting. I didn't understand a word.
Hatz. Small ball is appreciated in USPL land from your team. It looks like you need a few bats this year in your top 5. I think I should apply to your team next year.
Purelife. R U still looking for a life. Harry, clean those whiskers up. Gimme, you are the best, keep it coming. The neeebees like Dew, Pinch Runner and The Bomb need to stop their clandestine meetings in the closet.
