Author TOPIC: LEAGUE LEADERS FOR THE 2009 SEASON
Oakley

Entry #: 3126854
Good Morning,

Again, my office, Oakley Law Offices, will donate a plaque for the following categories:
Men's League Leaders for (1) Batting Average, (2) RBIs, & (3)HRs.
Women's League Leaders for (1) Batting Average, (2) RBIs, & (3) HRs.

For a player to be eligible, men must have a minimum of 25 at bats for the season and women must have a minimum of 20 at bats for the season. The stats must be entered into the GHISL website to be considered. I know that a couple of teams have entered their stats into their own website, but to be eligible those teams must enter their stats into the GHISL website.

The gesture is more for bragging rights than anything. Last year, the awards were divided between Capital Stars, Red Rock, Bases Loaded, and the NBBA. I hope that more teams will participate so that more people will have an opportunity to win bragging rights.

I want to encourage people to put their team's stats on the website. The larger the pool of players the greater the bragging rights. You may contact the league commissioner, if your team needs an administrator user name/password to enter the stats on the website.

If you have any questions, then contact me at 860-342-2302 or ChrisOakley@ctlawpractice.com. This being the third year of league awards, we have had a respectable number of teams participate. I hope that this year we can improve even further. Good luck and have a good year.

Thank you,
Chris Oakley
of the NBBA

Good Afternoon,
I would like remind everyone that my office is donating awards to the men’s and women’s’ league leaders in BA, HRs, & RBIs.

The last game for the league is scheduled for September 23, 2009. The deadline to enter the final stats on the website will be October 4, 2009. If you want to be considered, then make sure that your team's official scorer enters the stats by October 4, 2009. Within a couple of days of October 4, 2009, I will determine the league leaders and post the unofficial list on the website. I will give until October 11, 2009 so everyone has an opportunity to check for mistakes. Assuming that everything is correct, then I will mail the plaques to the appropriate team managers.

For this year, I did set a minimum of 25 ABs to qualify for the Men’s BA title and 20 ABs to qualify for the Women’s BA title. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding this, then please feel free to reply. If the league commissioner will, then please set the minimum ABs of the website to 20. So, it will be easier to determine who is eligible.

The league now has several teams that have posted their stats on the website. I would like to encourage other teams to join and the teams that have imputed stats to continue to do so.

This being the third year of league awards, we have had a more teams participate. I hope that next year we can improve even further. Below is a listing of the league leaders as of August 23, 2009. Please check for mistakes i.e. you are not listed when you should be or I confused someone gender. Bring any needed corrections to my attention.

Thank you,
Chris Oakley
of the NBBA

Good Afternoon Everyone,

No one notified me of any needed corrections thus, the unoffical list is now the official list of league leaders for the 2009 season. I will order the plaques this week. I should have them by the End of Year party at Red Rock Tavern on November 12. Unfortunately, I have cannot attend the party, but I will make sure the plaques are there and distributed. Everyone have a good off season. On a personal note, I look forward to next year, and hopefully I can return to the top ten in BA.

NBBA
