| It was an honour to try out for your league. It is the best I have witnessed I have played in Ajax, Scarborough and York. Your league seems to be the most organized.

| If you have not seen the pictures from the USPL album, feel free to check them out. Here are the pics from the tryouts > http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm62/USPL/2009%20Tryouts%20and%20Draft/
I apologize to anyone who's been trying to access the album over the weekend. Photobucket.com has been really laggy everywhere I've tried to log on so I had to upload the pics one by one today afterschool.
Thanks to all those who helped me out with the interviews. I'll try to upload those either tomorrow or by Friday the latest.

| What was up with the big guy with the glasses from Kelsey’s? He was calling draft picks before the draft, wow. He really put the screws to that blue number 10. The kid looked like he was a player and was not drafted because of what? Politics, shame on you, you are an embarrassment to the league and yourself, can’t wait to pummel your team when we meet. Let’s all get a hate on for Kelsey’s.

| Since when does a player get to dictate what team they want to play for in our league? He was the best player in the draft and wanted to go to a team that was drafting 7 or 8...Good luck with that!
Angus asked for teams to pass, but there is no obligation from any team to do so.
He could have played with Kelsey's for a year and went in the A draft next year. He made his own bed, now lie in it.
If Angus wants him next year, they can tank it this year and get the first pick overall in 2010. Look what Grocer did..It worked out for them.

| We were going to take the best player available at the time and it was obvious that blue 10 was the best. Moreover, the reason there was a phone call to the player was because there was conflicting statements as to whether this individual would play for another team. I think when teams tell new players that they will play for a certain team or tell other teams that the individual would not play for any other team it goes against the spirit of the league and in particular a rec league. The other team reps agreed at the draft that this in appropriate behaviour. Lastly, why is it that other players (red 10 who is also an excellent player ) selected by a team not of his preference is prepared to play but blue 10 is not!

| Mr October, finally someone with some common sense. sugna, know your information before you go throwing darts. kelseys called the guy on their pick to ask him if he still wanted to play for one team or not. he said no, the league then had a vote and turned the guy down. kelseys did not pick him, he was out of the league before they picked. if you are going to put a hate on for someone it had better be for 17 teams not just one. you also forgot to mention that mayberry was passed up in the A draft so he could play with his buddies, why? because he put his time in the league. teams did not have to pass but they knew him and his friends and were willing to do so. now lets play some ball.

| Hey I know you're kidding, but, I didn't think our league was about encouraging "tanking it" at the draft...executive member...bite your tongue. I hope we don't experience any "tankers" as we see guys this year. The sportmanship and comraderie is what separates this league from others. Don't you agree?
P.S. I see a new 2009 Schedule link with the red arrow on our site but it doesn't list all one team's games. I'd like to print out only our team's entire season schedule like last year. Gonzo can you fix this?

| The bottom line is this regarding the draft, Kelsey’s did not want to draft our buddy. You just wanted to screw us on out of getting him. I was told earlier tonight that the “big guy” has done this before to other teams in previous drafts. So history does repeat itself and we will do our talking on the field.

| Bottom line...we choose the best player that was available as we are supposed to. In the past, we have chosen last and we have got the worse player in the league and we didn't complain. G and son didn't get to Plumbers, Red 10 didn't get to Travel Lovers. Did you hear them complain? I guess we are unsportsmanlike and an embarrassment to the league.

| I remember a draft from approximately six years ago when Kelsey’s drafted a guy that wanted to go to Markham Sports. This person and his brother still do not play in our league.

| To the best of my recollection his brother has never been in the draft( his choice) and the player in the draft wanted to dictate which team he wanted to play for. Can you honestly blame a team that wants to get better through the draft process and is following the rules. In that instance, why should we choose the worse player in the draft( we choose close to the end of the draft) when there is obviously better ( the player was at least 10 times better than the alternative). Give us an alternative. I guess some people want different rules for different teams. That being the case, may be there is more reason for a re drafting of players every so often. Some people forget that this league is supposed to a rec league and not higher level ball. If teams want a stacked team sign up for tournaments and play as much ball as you want.

| To be clear, what the "guy" said was that he would like to play with Angus and if selected by someone else he would play for them for this year and enter the A draft next year. He also mentioned that he would not be able to make all of the games and that is what started this whole mess. I asked the "guy" to contact Kelsey's and be up front and honest with them about his intentions. Someone should also mention that this "guy" was called at least a dozen times on draft day like a high school sweetheart in heat. I guess going forward, we should ask all of the drafts to keep quiet and then refuse to play after the draft. With no spares list, I hope the players in the Masters agree to help out with all of the teams that could possibly be missing players. He'll be back at it next year and play with whoever drafts him ... unless he gets stalked, again. :)

| That is not the answer that I got. I even told the player he had that option next year! It also appears that is not the answer that he gave CAG. Why would CAG bring it to a vote at the draft if that was the case?

| Because you forced your phone in his face in the middle of the draft ... which should've never happened. I'll be perfectly honest with you, Blue 10 said he'd play with anyone .. except for you due to the tone that you took with him on the phone ... and the multiple phone calls you made to him. He's certainly not bigger than the game, so stop treating him like he is. I understand the rules of the league and Blue 10 did nothing to break them. Should let sleeping dogs lie ... this whole posting solves nothing ... both Angus and Kelsey's didn't get the player they wanted ... end of story. I hold no personal grudge, just feel that it was handled poorly by all.

| FYI, I was told by CAG to do what I did because I was told he would make a ruling immediately! Do you honestly think we want to lose our first pick? Moreover every player who tried out was told the rules. Lastly, I do take offense to some of the comments and accusations because they are unwarranted and false. They depict me in an unprofessional manner which is the furthest from the truth.

Bring on the ball season! Let the battles be won on the field and feelings/hardships mended in the parking lot.

| It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted on the forum. Perhaps it’s because I’ve been speechless about what I’ve been reading about the actions of the Kelsey’s team. The team we thought over the years with integrity is now struggling to gain any respect.

| Maybe we should not throw stones if we live in glass houses I know of teams who have players who never lived in markham or uninoville or friends who have tanked drafts to get on friends teams or even "A" drafts who talked to people to leave them alone in a draft so they could play with buddies. We are not the major league boys give your head a shake it is for a social to play ball and have fun with your buddies Gee do you really think one player makes that much of a differance And you win what.........
