INAUGURAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

HOCKEY WITH HEART IS HOSTING ITS INAUGURAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT.
HOCKEY WITH HEART IS A MARKHAM COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAM THAT ENCOMPASSES MANY COMMUNITY IN NEED SPONSORED PROGRAMS UNDERTAKEN THROUGHOUT MARKHAM/UNIONVILLE. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE ANNUAL COMMITTED SPONSORSHIP AND FUNDING OF THE MARKHAM FOOD BANK AND THE B-STRONG FUND SUPPORTING BRAIN TUMOUR RESEARCH AS WELL AS FUNDING OTHER COMMUNITY NEEDS AS THEY ARISE. ALL FUNDS RAISED FROM THIS ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT WILL BE USED TO SUPPORT IDENTIFIED COMMUNITY NEEDS.

| USPL Members,
Summer's here so lets think about golfing with USPL buddies in addition to hitting homers. This year, the Hockey With Heart committee has been able to team up with the Unionville ARMs to present our 1st tournament with the ARMs !!!
As you may know, Hockey With Heart has been hugely successful, created through, and driven much, by the members of the community. We've established our objective to address needs and concerns locally, helping those near us.
We've been able to provide thousands of dollars of food over the past 2 years to the Markham Food Bank, in addition to the nearly 400 complete turkey dinners delivered to those who wouldn't otherwise have had a Christmas dinner. We've supported the B Strong fund for Brain Tumour Research to the tune of $10,000. We've financially helped USPL league members who have had personal disaster occur. We've partnered with Children's Wish to soon send a 5 year old Markham boy with severe cancer, on his Wish, to see sharks. We helped the staff of the ARMs when the fire occurred, putting them out of work at Xmas.
And our plans and efforts continue to grow. Thanks to you, and our community, we're giving back.
The attached files outline the HWH/ARMs tourney on Aug. 4th at Angus. We plan it to be one of the best of the year. There is an info poster, sponsor letter and form, and a golf registration form.
We need help from you. We need you to participate, and if possible, sponsor a hole, offer a prize(s), or something for the grab bags.
It costs $250 to participate and includes Golf on Angus South, lunch, on course contests, dinner, prizes, grab bags and more. Great value. Great cause.
Sign up ASAP, as the space is limited. And please find some way, any way, to help make this a success so we can continue to brighten the lives in this community.
