| This time of year it's hard to get umpires because of High School and fastpitch scheduling. We had an umpire scheduled to be there, but he did not show. I don't know why and haven't gotten an answer yet. Person hasn't answered their phone. We have at least 3 umnpires scheduled for the rest of the year though every night I believe.
Basically, there is just a shortage of umpires and they make much more money doing fastpitch or high school.

| $75.00, who pays that? 40-60 is the range ive seen!Some river 2 river conf teams only pay 50. If your gettin 75 that is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

| DR, Out of all ASA umpires only 3 do post season so know what your talkin about or quit making excuses. Why you didnt supply enough umpires!!!!!!!!! Also that day was sectional week so 1 only did that deep into the High school playoffs. Just tell the truth, you couldnt get enough umps that wanted to be bothered

| Stats, 7 of the 20 ASA umpires are IHSA officials. 2 for sure got post season assignments. And possibly 1 more not for sure on the 3rd one. Only 1 went past Regionals so 1 out of 20 was busy with HS games on the night DR said we all had HS games! Someone that is always telling other people to know what they are talkin about needs to know what he is talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| I fail to see how it is Dan's fault when umpires have other obligations. He cant make another person do something. What the hell is he supposed to do. Dan I had no idea you had that kind of power over others and that you are the local supplier of umps, amazing.

| It's not hard to figure out who "correction" and "official stat" is. Hint... he started a thread bashing me today, lol.
The thing is, this guy knows exactly how this works. We turn in the dates and umpires sign up. If we're short one night, the Umpire Association does what they can to get an umpire. There is nothing we can do. He knows this for a fact.
I've always been told that May and June are hard because a lot of umpires do High School games. If that's not true, then I've been lied to. Whatever the reason is, May and the beginning of June we've always had a hard time getting 4 umpires all the time.

| I don't know how you put up with all this crap Dan, good grief....I would end up on Xanax for sure. Anyway - thanks for the work u do. I do have a suggestion for people that complain about the stats not being posted, or an umpire shortage, blah blah blah
Here it is - VOLUNTEER TO HELP....otherwise just play and keep your mouth shut.
