| If everyone is in then have it cost only. No payouts. Just play to get a tune up for states. Better yet if teams don't want to play for nothin then give the winners a keg and the runner ups a 1/4. Festivities to follow championship.

| how about we organize a league wide tourney with no payouts? BigBall has a yearly city tournament which 16 teams play at no cost. We would just have to get a few sponsors for tourney or maybe have players ump.
just a thought

| A couple of things to add from me here:
I have been saying for years that I think its a good idea to run some tournaments with no pay outs and the minimum entry fee.
Two reasons, it would mean teams would be less likely to stack up with no money on the line (I realize this one is a league roster tournament). Also, keep the cost down to help encourage all teams to play.
A note about the Big Ball tournament, there is a $275 entry fee for all teams and pay outs for top three.
Now....they do run a couple of smaller tournaments out in the county with no pay outs and cheap entry fee.
There is a differnt mentality in big ball, those teams play in every tournament....even if they have feel they cant complete. They just want to play ball.
We lost that in our league..teams dont want to play in the Harborcreek League unless they think they are one of favorites to win. Hence....the creation of the B division and a playoff system that features the top three teams play in thier own bracket.
