To raise money for the league.

This would take place Sometime in Oct or Nov. Either at the Perzel or Bowling alley. There is really nothing going on during that time (EF wise) so that's why those months seem to be the likely choice.

It would be Front of Base. It would be 3.4 limit. The rules would be a hybrid of different styles.

The main reason for this tourney would be to raise money for the NEFL. More trophies? Better trophies? Lower dues?

Brian gave me this idea while we were at the BASH, having something that would raise money for the league. I again thought about it when I saw Morgan's post of his Giants....he says they need some work!

The cost could be $10-$15 for NEFL members, $25 for non members.

I wouldn't interested in getting the whole EF world involved with this. I think we could fill our brackets with the coaches we have right in the PA, NJ, NY, & Md areas.

If we can get a good turnout the money raised could go right back into this season.

1 idea I have is that we pay $50 up front for the 2010 nefl season. You finish your schedule you get $15-$20 back. We would give out these re-funds after the super bowl game, during the awards ceremony. (more incentive to show up for the Bowl) The dues would cost $30 or $35 instead of the $40 that it has been for the last 2yrs.

This gathering could also be used to go over the upcoming season.

We could sell the awareness bracelets, and Ed Vaughn might be done the Super Bowl XI dvd by then, we could sell it as well.

So please give it some thought. Should we do it, or not.

what are the Pros??? What are the Cons????

Holla back,

Corey

A tourney in Oct/Nov. sounds great. Good idea if it helps the league raise $$$. Also a good opportunity to get re-acquainted with everyone.
That means a lot of 1-on-1 meet & greet for me,
since I only know a mere handful of the Philly coaches.

Re: Testing for possible rules changes . . . well, I'm the new guy in town in 2010. Who am I to say that we should consider changing some of the rules?
