| So its back I did this last year for the people who rememeber it as something fun for people to toss their thoughts in and talk about something else besides "stats" not being entered correctly. As were all aware the All-Star break has concluded for MLB and were back to playing 9 innings now and im gonna throw out the teams who I think have the best chance at making the playoffs with half a season left to go. If it seems like Im just picking division leaders at this point I promise its not with out warrant as 66% of all divison leaders in both confrences by the All-Star game go on to win the Divison. FYI that means one divison leading team as of now wont make it in for both confrences. A.L. EAST Starting with a three team race between the Sox Yanks and Rays. The Redsox seemingly have the talent but I dont belivie they are living to what there capable of doing Dice K is a bust this year Big Papi is Little Mama my slugging % is better on Nintendo Wii. Injuries arise for this team and they may be the one team in the A.L. who i think will have to settle for the wild card as the my pick is the Yankees. There simply better in almost every aspect plus the possiblity of Holiday and its a divison crown.
A.L. Central Finally the Tigers are playing how everyone in the world thought they should be. They need to get Mags going tho if they really wanna seprate themselves from the White Sox who are quitely one of the most dangerous teams in the confrence. Mark Buehrle is a stud but seeing how he cant do everything i expect the Sox will float around that .500 mark the rest of the season, Tigers will take this one by 6 games.
A.L. West Everything is bigger in.......Texas. Yeah thats right the Rangers in the playoffs?? What? find it hard to belivie? well dont because this team is for real and they will play there hearts out down by 7 or up by 12 this team doesnt quit. The Angles bullpen has left the door wide open and the Rangers are happy to load up the wagons and ride on through.
A.L. Wild Card Bo Sox lucky us to have to deal with the yanks and sox in the playoffs again but I guess we will deal with it.
N.L. East It maybe a two team race but its not much of one. With the Marlins 5.0 games back the Philies are setting themselves up with a chance to repeat. Im not saying they will but adding pedro to the back of the rotation and possibly seeking Holiday this team is playoff bound.
N.L. Central Wow what a cluster, this divison feels like the one that nobody wants to win. All three teams within the race has held the top spot at some point of the season but has failed to ever run away with this. The Brewers are incosistent and week in the pen. The Cubs are the biggest disapointment in the baseball universe, and the Cardinals arent without there problems but with Glaus and Derosa coming back in late july to early august they are the favorites to win the divison, oh tho dont sleep on Houston or the Reds.
N.L. West Who else but the best team in baseball Go Dodger Blue there not only gonna win the divison but they will be deep in the post season.
N.L. Wild Card There are alot of teams who could take this but only one that stands out and its not who you would think. S.F. Giants thats almost as shocking as Texas but this teams rotation is lights out. Cain, Johnson, Zito oh yeah and that Lincecum fellow. Good pitching beats good hitting and that to me is what makes this team dangerous.
So thats it and if you disagree then thats fine tell me why you feel the way you do dont just say a team sucks because they suck back your stuff up with numbers and facts.

| I agree with almost all of these except the Rangers. while their hitters never give up their pitching is suspect at best and I belive the veterans on the Angels will take over tcome September

| Every team has injuries but with the loss of hunter and Vladie its hard to for me to see the Angels staying on top. If they come back and start swinging then yeah its possible but in baseball i'd rather have a cold bath then bat.

| If Kenny Williams can get us a pitcher before the trade deadline...look for the White Sox to quietly overtake the Tigers by seasons end...if not...Goodbye playoffs.

| I really don't see anyone beating Philly in a 7 game series. Dodgers are good, but teir pitching is young and inexperienced. I know the Phills don't have much pitching either, but they didn't have much last year. Oh, by te way, they are the hottest team in baseball right now! Very dangerous team. I don't see anyone knocking off Boston in the AL. Deep pitching, good lineup, and as far as the Yanks go this year, Boston 7, Yankees 0. nuff said! Sam, I think the ChiSox will overtake the tigers. More experience, just as good, if not better lineup. Both teams are really close, but I like the Sox in this division.

| Kevin, I would not say never...We did it in 2005 with a line-up that was not as potent...but we had better pitching then.
Bobby Jenks needs to find Stella and get his groove back!

| Yeah your right Sam the Sox did win in 2005 but just the Sox. The idea of that one city could win 4 titles within the same year is the joke Sam.

| That last post was not me...
but in any case...I will not stop believing...I will not stop campaigning...and I will not rest one minute until the City of Chicago is able to raise four Championship banners over the Sears Tower at once and rain down upon the rest of the world with tears of glee and songs of praise to God...who by the way stays in the Chi quite often... Because I beleive a city should not be judged by the color of it's sports teams uniforms...but by the number of Championships it's sports teams can one day fly over its tallest monument...Yes people...I have a dream...I have a dream...and I believe....I believe...I BELIEVE!!!!
And you all will too next year...Or quite possibly the year after that...or...well you get the point.

| Holliday and Derosa are two huge moves, the only thing i wish we would have done is sent Motte somewhere. The guy has two pitches and isnt that great at locateing. Someone needs to tell him that just because you can throw 98 down the center of the plate doesnt mean you wont get Jimmy Rollined & Victarinoed. That was Re-dic.

| Yeah, I think they need a #5 guy in the rotaion. Wellemeyer isn't doin' it. And why not try McClellen in that setup role? There will be more changes mad for them. They are notorious for a waiver move after the trade deadline.

| I really think every club has that one guy in there rotation where hey if they lose, oh well. Cubs have Dumpster we have Todd, Giants have Zito. Bo Sox have Dice K and Yanks have C.C. Lol. I think our bullpen is pretty damn good this year which is suprising seeing how bad they managed to be last year. Obviously there will always be things to fix the one thing i would like to take care of is beating the SH*T out of the guy who said " oh hey lets waste money on Kahli Green." - Hey when you get paid Millions of dollars to bat .228 get over your anxiety d*ck. As far as the Cards picking someone else up after the deadline it may happen oh tho managment prolly already feels like they have acquired enough rent-a-players for the team and fans of St.Louis for the next 5 years, but there is hope that maybe they will commit to winning this year and bring someone else in to fix the back of our rotation. Anyways im done talking bad about the Cards being my team I feel like I have that right. Reguardless of what they do even if they trade Albert Pujols to the Cubs for a double pack of Wild Pitch Watermelon Big League Chew I like most red bird fans will be there to cheer them on.

| Sam, Jake Peavy has not seen Amercian League hitting so dont hold your breathe they have much better hitting then the N.L. To the unnamed Cubbie fan. Heres a suggestion or two. 1. Hold on to the divison lead which you wont do. 2. Win a playoff game which you will not do. 3. Go to the World Series which again will not happen. Tell me Mr. Cubbie what sucess have your boys in blue really have had in the last not even a hundred but 10 or 15 years? - None. A divison Title here and there in spots maybe a wildcard but when it comes down to it your boys havent accomplished anything. What is Wrigley known for, Losing hosting losers for a hundred years. Wow hang your hat on that and be proud, Listen Sir, Enjoy your divison lead while you have it but it will be short like usual. Lets say the Cardinals faulter and the Cubs do win the divison tell me who are they gonna beat? Dodgers, Philies, Giants? No heres the thing about your cubbies sencie the all star break. They havent played anyone but the Phillies and oh yeah what happen in that series they got embarssed. Thank you im out
