Just wanted to share what happened to Braendels after winning ASA Open States last weekend.

Last year, in an effort to get more Erie teams to enter this tournament. ASA officals told me and Mike Benson that our teams (both classified A) could enter the tournament and because it was classified "Open".....could pick up anyone we wanted and if we should happen to win it....not be reclassified.

In other words...if we would have won the tourney...we would still be classified "A".

this is important to Braendels because they participate in "A" States every year. While we have no desire to participate in A states....we dont want to be reclassifeid Major (like Bonnells) because then we can get shut out of A Tournaments (like Bonnells has been in the past).

So Braendels wins "Open" and was told this week they are reclassified and CANNOT go to "A" States this weekend.

I think my hate for ASA officals at the top is well known (not for local umps by the way......just the lies that come from the top).

I also dont want to get into slamming ASA by names on a message board but I do want to say Im not talking about John Davis. I think he does a good job.

My advice, start all of your communicating with ASA by email. In other words...get it in writing.

This is why we need more tournaments like Folmars, Westfield, etc. Regular money tournaments where they cash is spent on the teams......not going in somebody's pocket who doesnt do shit but lie, forget, and make terrible decisions. Dont be fooled by these tournaments with fancy names run by ASA officials.

i would say
