| i love it how everyone picked the cubs to dominate the nl central this year yet here we are damn near august and cubs fans are bragging and making a big deal out of bein .5 games ahead...who cares if tjey make the playoffs we all know sweet lou cant get them out of the first round anyway. also i heard a commercial during a cubs game on the radio with ron santos dumbass screaming THIS IS THE YEAR like hes kevin garnett or something. then they played some cheesey 80s sounding music. i didnt know if it were a baseball game or if they were airing an episode of seinfeld on the radio. god i hate everything about that pathetic team!

| You know its saying something when the person who started this thread wont leave a name. It shows that even Cub fans knew that was to good to be true and oh tho the cardinals only have a .5 game on them right now at least we are beating good teams to stay on top. Who were the Cubs tasked with playing to jump to the number 1 spot for two days? Four games agaisnt baseballs worst team had a lot of Cub fans talking about how "this team is for real." - "watch out Cardinals were claiming our divison." Then the Philies reminded everyone that the when the Cubs have to play a good team they cant win. Then the Cubs had another soft set with the reds. OMG nail biteing moments in that one. The Cubs have benefited from a soft schedule senice the all star break.

| Cardinals weren't supposed to dominate the N.L. like the Cubs were. I don't even think they were picked to finish 3rd in their division. I know I beat on them a lot, but the Cubs really have a better team, on paper. I knew they would get hot, and they have. But, the Cards have been pretty consistant all year. Adding Holliday really changes their lineup. They lead the N.L. in team era and batting average. Cards and Cubs only play each other 3 more times this year. I expect a very interesting finish.

| oh ok so i miss read it ill admit my fault. Congrats tho on .002 points ahead its impressive im sure it will last. You think those .002 points will help you win a playoff game this year or even hold the divison lead. Its time for the cards to enjoy a soft schedule 3 against the pirates and then the reds. Enjoy the beating the rockies are about to give you, maybe the thin air can help get your big season move in Milton Bradleys batting avg to .260

Yes your right the Cards do have an easier schedule, but I hope that the Cards can beat the Pirates, you know they haven't had the best of luck with them...
