Losers Bracket.
Rocks vs Stockmens. I have to go with Stockmens if Wolf can come back on 4 days rest. He nearly beat Minnetonka and has some of the best stuff I have seen.

St. Louis Park vs Moes. Park has not used there best in Wright and although Moes had an outstanding season and put there name on the map, it comes to an end tonight against better pitching.

Winnners Bracket.
Minnetonka vs Edge. Minnetonka has already beat 3 of the best pitchers in the tournament in Wolf, Blanck, and Whinnery. Edge upset my pick to win it all in Lindstrom and Shamrocks. I think Edge could pull off the upset if they get guys on base and have enough arms to shut down the best order in Minnesota. Great game but again too many weapons at Minnetonkas disposal. I had this game vs Shamrocks who have Tonkas number but not meant to be.

Wolf's stuff is legit, but this will be his third start in a row on four days or less rest so the pop, break and endurance factor may not be there. I hope for his sake that it is because he was a class act after the game and very fun to throw against. To me, this one is a toss up.

Park/Moes
Park has to burn Wright at some time (if he hasn't thrown yet) and he's very tough to beat. If he throws it's a no doubter, if he doesn't 70/30 veterans favor.

Tonka/Edge
We will be starting our fourth pitcher in as many games so Cordell should be able to get deep into the ball game with a very fresh bull pen (The all time UofM strike out leader AND the best closer in the state haven't thrown yet in the tournament... Remember that whole 'deepest staff in the state' comment???)

Edge was a scrappy little team though and played the Shamrocks tough, they are a serious contender. Friday will be a battle of a college team versus an explosive college arm. I have to give us the favor, but we will see their number 1 arm. However, our number one and two will be on full rest to back up the young'n as Derek Mason got it done in an absolute gem against Air Freight. All that 'Whinnery is unhittable' talk should have maybe been directed at Bubba Mas as he was literally unhittable through 4 plus allowing only four total hits and one run in the CG.

Good luck and good health to all for the rest of the games!

Wright threw and since the season is over I can state now that he had not thrown in four weeks because he hurt his elbow against Tonka in the regular season.

He is a class act, knew he had to pitch today and try to come back Sunday if Park made it that far which they did not.

For those who have ever see Shane Wright pitch they would know that tonight he battled without his best stuff.....was probably throwing about 80 which is 5-7 or so off his normal fastball.

All that meant was less margin for error and major adjustments trying to be made on his off speed stuff to try to keep the velocity difference enough from pitch to pitch.

I saw the entire game and it was a great win for Moes....Im not taking any thing away from them as they deserved to win. It was also nice to see an experienced pitcher working through adjustments that he has probably never had to make.....he had one bad inning.

Lastly because others will say it.....moe's did knock him for I beleive 13 hits but Shane Wright is a pitcher through and through and he did all he could leaving what he had out there.

AGAIN NOT TAKING ANY THING AWAY FROM MOE'S AND THEY DESERVED THE WIN......

They came back from down 5 through two....they played good defense and had more hits then Park so no one can argue or take any that away from them.

I also give serious credit to the first pen guy they brought in during the first inning.

He made many very good pitches against a very veteran line up and as we all know a very good line up.

Sorry my club lost obviously and that should go without saying but Moe's was the better club this evening.
