| Playoff time is here again and so called experts will weigh in with their predictions. My panel of experts consisted of my dog, goldfish and the lovely doves outside my window. The consensus reached when it came time to select the final four was Harding, Nvision, DST and School. They were the clear-cut choice to advance to the semi finals round. The panel was in agreement again when selecting Crupi, Grocer, Wings and Plumbers as the teams beaten in the quarter finals. All felt that the upstart Arms will not be victorious because of experience. I would love to read other opinions.

| A predictable post in late September.
To all my Arms teammates,
Thanks for a great year. We had up's and down's, but a whole lot of fun. We improved enormously and there is always next year. Nothing to hang your heads, keep them up. Let’s have fun during the winter, regroup, and make run at this thing next year. If we would have listened to the forum and realized that we fluked a few wins and we are still an improving team. I would like to see where they put us in there so-called pre-season poll.

| What a year so far, we have dodged the rain for weeks. It’s about time we got to some rankings. Crupi have not let up one bit, DST is keeping pace as expected, and Nvision seems poised for their first division title. There is still plenty of time for playoff seeding to change. Some teams have as many as 6 games left. It should make for an interesting sprint to the finish line. My top eight teams are:
1 - Nvision (32pts) [4 games remaining] – It is time that the Visionaries get the recognition they deserve. After climbing to the top of the standings, they have not looked back. They beat up on Harding last week and set their sight on the tense Arms team.
2 – DST (28 pts) [6 games remaining] – With 2 games in hand, the DST ers are 2 points ahead of the School, but were able to keep pace as they beat a tired weary Travel squad this week. They square off against the School this coming week.
3 - Crupi Law (28 pts) [5 games remaining] - The blue shirts have been one of the hotter USPL teams as of late to everyone’s astonishment. With a 4-point disparity for the division lead behind Nvision, the law men were able to get one point this week with a tie. They have a big double header this week against very week teams and will gain four more points by next week this time.
4 – Harding Display (25 pts) [4 games remaining] – They have stumbled slightly as they no longer hold the 3rd seed. However, they are only 3 point away from it. They were not able to win a game this past week, so the chirping must be loud and hard. They look ahead to rebounding against the once might Flakeboard this week.
5 – The School (26 pts) [4 games remaining] The School boys have been catching on as of late and now own the 2nd seed in the weaker division. They won both times this week against substandard teams and can gain ground if they beat DST this week.
6 - Remax (24 pts) [3 games remaining] – A lot of games completed keeps Remax in contention so far. Can they maintain their current pace or have they peaked too early? Their offense has let them down all season, and this past week was no different. They got past MAS. A true test will be this week against the number one team in the league. They will unquestionably be beaten by 10 in that one.
7 - Arms (24 pts) [4 games remaining] – The Arms are one of the fortunate teams to have gotten most of their games in. This past week, their pitching was stellar as they beat Harding. They have one 9 out of the last 10 and are clearly the best team since July 1st. Can they maintain this level of play is the big question? They will be challenged to beat a power house team like Nvision on Tuesday night. They will get spanked like little misbehaving children.
8 - Just Wing It (20 pts) [4 games remaining] – The Wings have a good chance at catching the Arms for 7th place overall. They sit 4 points back. They have lots of playoff experience. This quiet bunch can hit and their gloves are solid. They face Griffith this week the outcome could play a huge role in the connie playoff seeding

| People keep talking about a “Final 8”.
There IS no Final 8… there’s a Final 6, plus the Conny Champ. I personally don’t believe the Conny Champ should have the right to play-in to the Championship side, but that’s how it’s set up.
NVision, DST, Crupi, Harding, School, Wing-it are the 6 teams. Travel Lovers is the play-in Conny Champ, but doesn’t go far. The Arms and Remax both will be watching from the tent on Sunday. NVision beats Crupi in the final game.

| Gimme a break, Crupi and Nvision in the final. They both give up too many runs. On championship Sunday we NEVER see a 40 to 30 game. Both of those teams will not be in the final four. I say it will be Harding over DST in a close one.

| I see where the Arms took a huge hit with a big injury to one of the Bowen Boys. They still managed to beat Harding last week even without their shortstop. Amazing how they just keep rolling along. Looks like a team of destiny to me. Should be a great game Tuesday night
