| You marion boys are some bad ass ball players. Cause if the teams that we played today are rec what in the hell are the competitive teams like. Im just saying when you score close to 60 runs in 4 games in a rec division and dont win thats pretty odd. I know the guy i played for told me they cancelled the comp divion and went all (rec) that there were going to be a couple guys get thru from that side its cool but whole teams now thats a bit different. Post back with any comment good or bad. Maybe i am just a sore loser or maybe i feel like i was lead to a gun fight and the only thing i had to protect myself was my trusty worth bat. YOU TELL ME......

| Yea you are rite a few guys made it through, and i was a stickler on this also bc i new i couldent put a better team out there than what i had (peoples Bank) but honestly we didnt even make it to the semis and the tourney was more fair than i ever imagined it!!! and yea that was our rec league and the two guys umping have teams that you dont wana see!!! in all GREAT EVEN tourney. ty dan, ohney umoping ALL DAM DAY

| First, thanks for coming over. Now to answer your questions/comments.
Our league has 3 divisions. Elite, A and B. We had 5 teams who play in our B league play. 3 teams who play in the A league played. The 3 A teams ended up in the top 4 and a B team was the other. Krehbiel and Marion Bowl both picked up 2 guys who would have played in the comp division. Miller Lite picked up 1. There weren’t any teams who were going to play in the competitive who played in the rec.
If you played 4 games, you won a game. But 60 runs in 4 games is 15 runs a game. Look at our game results for the B leagues. Many teams score 15 runs and that’s with ASA balls and bats. Not “hit your own 44 cor” and NSA bats on a cool Saturday. The option to buy 3 more HR’s with these balls, bats and field sizes means more runs.
Like you said, some guys got in here and there. There were a couple guys on a couple teams that played that I didn’t know had been picked up, but they didn’t make a huge difference.
If you played 4 games and had 11 guys, which I think all the teams who weren’t from Marion had 11 players, your players paid $2.27 a game.
I umpired 11 games. I didn’t have 1 game go less than 5 innings. The games were actually a lot closer than I thought they would be.
I’m sorry you didn’t have a good time or feel that it was a waste of your time. You are the only person that I have heard this from so far. I always try to put on good, consistent tournaments that are fair for everyone who plays.

| Great tourney Danno!! & to all of the other umps!You always have somebody not happy or complaining bout somthing! when you have around 10 teams & you only have 1 or a few crybabies ...Sounds like a good tourney to me! I also thought there was alot of non "elite" players stepping up & taking care of bizness!! Only means that the leagues & ALL its players are GETTIN BETTER !! & thats what it's ABOUT !! Congrats to the winners ! & Dan for a great tourney! THANKS!!

| It was a fair tournament if thats how your rec league is. I just wish I had known the level of competition and I might have helped my guy get a couple of key players. You are right for the entry fee and the weather it was a great tourney. I would have no problem coming to play another I would just be better prepaired for the level of play. We have all seen reid and ohneys teams around we just hope when we face them that there having a bad day LOL

| My team didnt win a game, but we hung in there for the majority of our 3 games and had a blast. Thanks to all that made the event happen.

| congrats to Miller Lite, they had a great tourney and played some very good ball in the final innings to take the win.......and props to Krehbiel's, they too played a great tourney but came up short in a close one.(and props to those couple guys on Krehbiels who were injured but still gutted it out) overall, great tourney!!

| sorry the side bar team couldnt make it there. It sounds like it was a good tournament as usual. You do a great job putting them together Dan, and if you decide to do another one later in the fall please hit us up again. I especially like the idea of 4 guaranteed games. Once again sorry.
