| The proverbial "they" say that Defense Wins Championships. I really don't know who exactly "they" are that claim this, but "they" are wrong. Or at least "they" should step forward and tell me what "they" mean. Because I really can't tell. Growing up and playing sports on a few teams, I saw lots of games and lots of teams. I won a few championships and played on a many bad teams, too. But in most of the cases where I saw the best teams, it was offense not defense that made the teams as good as they were. So the best offense club in the USPL (Crupi ) will take home the cup this year.

| But is a run saved not equivalent to a run scored?
I'm sure there's a many different ways to score runs but if your team isn't fundamentally sound defensively you're finished. Say what you want but if you can't take smart angles to the ball at Ashton or anticipate the caroms off the fence at Crosby correctly, you don't deserve to win the Championship.

| Crupi will take home countless cups this year. Unforutnally they will be empty from all the beer they consumed.

| I agree that on playoff weekend best defense wins games especially on Sunday. Depending on who shows up Jekyll/Crupi or Hyde/Crupi it could be an interesting Sunday afternoon.
Good luck to all !!!

| Since 1986, the better defensive team has won 81% of their playoff series in any sport. The better offensive team has won 55% of their playoff series.

| Some say "Defense wins championships". Some say "He who hesitates is lost". Some also say "Early bird gets the worm". Heck, some even say "I'm not a slo-pitch expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night"...well maybe that's just what I say. What I did learn over my free continental breakfast this morning is that these sayings exist for a reason. Somewhere in life they have their relevancy. I say hesitate a little, procrastinate a little...heck even vacillate a little. Angus over Crupi in a 27-25 final game.

| If there's one thing we can be 100% about. There may be 8 teams in contention, but there are only 5 elite ones: nvision, DST, harding, crupi and school. Three teams of medium talent: remax, grocer and arms. Then there are the soon to be victorious lovers of traveling. Best wishes to the rest of you, stay optimistic.

| Ed’s Vision has to be the #1 pick to win it all. They will easily handle Crupi, and had success against both DST and Harding this season. They finished in 1st place, and have waltzed their way though regular season to date. However, Remax has won many championships they were in (the last one over TL), so they would definitely be tougher competition for Ed’s Vision. I say Ed’s beats Grocer in the final.
