Let's test your baseball knowledge.

1) What team currently holds home field advantage in the National League playoffs and has the 9th highest payroll in the NL?

2) What team in MLB has the lowest "Magic Number"?

3) What team has the most World Championships in the National League?

4) What team has the 2nd highest payroll in the NL, is 7 games back in the wild card race and hasn't won a world championship in anyone's parents lifetime?

1-3 are the St. Louis Cardinals and 4 is the Chicago Cubs.

Congratulations if you answered these trivia questions correctly!

Well, I'm a huge Cardinal fan and I gotta be honest, as impressed as I am with their team this year, I just can't see anyone beating Philly. Yeah, cards have good pitching, but to beat Philly you better have great pitching. Let's say they get by Philly and go to the World Series. How do they stack up against the Yanks? About the same as everyone else, not good!

No way D. No other team has the 1-2-3 starters we do. When we played Philly, we won 8-1 and lost 14-6 and 9-2. The win was Piniero with 6 scoreless innings. The losses were Lohse and Wellemeyer. Neither will factor in for us in the post season.

They also have the worst closer in baseball. I love this matchup now. A month ago, I didn't. Even with Cliff Lee.

Things are lookin good. Also, I really hope that Glaus is rollin by then. If he gets hot and can DH in the World Series, watch out.

Fish, man like i dunno if you have noticed but lidge sucks dude. Honestly yeah the we got beat by them but like Dan said we had the back of our rotation going and two guys who were struggling hard. Todd is replaced. Theres one team im worried about and its the Giants. The Rockies have played us tough too. Who ever is gonna get that wild card spot is gonna be trouble. We will have to see how it works out tho.

Im pretty sure the Phils just got swept by the Astros... Cliff Lee has given up like 12 earned runs in his past 2 starts...they are reeling right when the redbirds are on fire! If the N.L. East wasnt so pathetic the Phils may not even make the playoffs....I agree that the Giants are the team to worry about. You see Lincecum and Cain and Penny in a short series with the possibility of Randy Johnson out of the pen! Thats pretty good, although I still think the Cards can take em! The Yankees are a different story....they are freakin good...
