| I am beginning my workout program for next season. I thought maybe some people might be interested in the program. Olympic Fitness has a no joining fee special and a pretty good rate ($30/month for 18 month contract).
The program that I am going to use can be found on the internet and is in 3 phases.
1) Developing foundational Strength core work and balance. This is an 8 week phase that starts in January.
2) Developing maximal strength Higher weight training. This is 6 weeks and begins in March.
3) Conversion to Power Plyometric training which converts the muscle building in phase 2 to sport specific explosive power (speed + quickness). This begins in mid April and takes us to the beginning of the season.
This is a 12 month program however. But the time during the season and after the season until January is light weight training and maintenance of the work we do in the 3 phases.
If anyone is interested in this let me know, I have all of the exercises and descriptions printed out as well as a spreadsheet chart to monitor progress and keep me on track.
This is mainly a hitter/fielder workout plan but I also found some for pitchers. I hope this allows me to play as long and as hard and as well as John has.

| Frank, it looks like you're going to be a lean, mean (no pun intended), baseball playing machine. The only question I have is how you get the time to do it all?
