I have decided that I AM going to Miami in February. I have waited my whole life for this. Might be too soon to say for sure, but I think "The Pieces are in Place" (copyright Brett Favre)

Maybe it would be more fun to go to New Orleans for the NFC title game.

I was at the Bears game on Sunday-talk about fun.

The Saints looked pretty good last night-if it gets to that it would be a hell of a game.

The more I think about it, and yes I think about it a lot, the 09 Saints remind me of a team... the 98 Vikings!!! And the 09 Vikings remind me of... the 98 Falcons!
The saints are a quick strike offense who very rarely have long time consuming drives, while the vikes move the ball down the field methodically, run the ball, control the clock with shorter passes, but still have the deep threat. The Saints have an opportunistic but not necessarily dominating defense, like the vikes had in 98. any thoughts?

Can't wait until the Vikings lose in the playoffs to listen to all the excuses. Can't blame the coach anymore, he got an extension, the guy must be a genius now!!!!!

Just playing around. I actually enjoy watching both teams play. They are offensive machines!!! It will be a good match up if they end up facing each other in the NFC Championship game.

NO excuses this year. "The pieces are in place." I dont know that any of the other years contained that many excuses, more that they just did something to screw it up.

Gary Anderson, 41-0 at the Meadowlands, Brian Westbrook last year (although they never had a chance to do anything anyway). Maybe you are referring to the push off by Drew Pearson or the drop in the 87 NFC Championship game against the Redskins. Does this freaking list ever end?

I've heard them all Frank. Many of my college buddies are from Minnesota and every year they come up with some new excuses for why they lose. The Vikes this year are as good as I've ever seen them and it pains me to say that. But, that's why you play the game and in the NFL, you just never know. The thing that would worry me is that the Vikes are blowing everyone out lately and you have to wonder how the young stud, Percy, or the fumbler, AP, will respond in those situations. Anyone can play well when things are going your way. But, they are both playmakers so I wouldn't doubt if they step up. It will be fun to watch it play out.

Screw it! Blow them all out all the way to a Super Bowl win, then you don't have to worry about playing in tight games. Plus, every game is tight in the beginning.

I just hope this Viking team doesn't end like the '98 Falcons-losing in the Super Bowl.

Saints/Vikings NFC Championship game would be a pretty entertaining one, that's for sure.

WHAT THE $%&^&?!?!? If you have three then you have to have four. They need to be able to pair up. Congrats Moose!

The difference I see that would put the Vikes over the 98 Falcons is Brett Favre is our QB, theirs was Chandler, I think(???). Our running back is AP (the fumbler), theirs was... what the hell was his name... he was good for a year and had a mean "dirty bird" was it Jamal Anderson??? Sounds right... boy the crap I remember about sports. If it were any other subject that happened 10+ years ago, I wouldnt know where to begin

I guess Moose and Santa have something in common this year.

Anyone care to guess what that is?

That's right-one time a year. Very funny Noid.

Due date is the 17th of June, but I'm going to do my best to induce her on the 7th by whatever means necessary.

If anyone was still watching the Vikings get smoked like a cheap cigar last night, did you see Henderson on the play that he got hurt? That reminded me of when Tim Krumrie (I think that's how you spell it) broke his leg in the Super Bowl against the 49er's. Parts going in directions that they aren't supposed to go. I almost threw up. Not good.

Soooo many injuries last night... Loadholt, McKinnie, Griffin, the biggest of all is EJ. Remember what our defense was last year without him in there? This is DOOM!

Not really... but today sucks

Yeah I saw that play! It was pretty sick. I saw today that he broke is femur. But it was pretty disturbing seeing his leg look like a rubber band.

So... I was just wondering if there has been any thought about this years 'Brill Miller Ice Bowl' yet? :)

Thought you would like that one Moose!!!

I have to tell you guys, as much as I like to see the Vikes get it handed to them, I hate to see players get hurt. That was nasty. I hope he can come back and play someday. The femur is the strongest bone in your body and it takes a huge amount of force to break it. Scary stuff. Not an easy schedule road for them the rest of the way either now.

You are right KG, not an easy schedule, but Cincy is not as good as people think. I think they struggled against Oakland, Cleveland, and Detroit stayed in it with them yesterday. Carolina and Chicago= two wins, and then the Giants. If the Vikes can win the next three they will be able to rest starters against the Giants because the #2 seed will be locked up. That gives them two weeks off before the first playoff game, very key given the current injury situation.

Hey Moose, I got my yearly recently too! Still have not gotten my thingy redid soooo gotta be careful, no more babies for me.

Hopefully they're following the Arizona Cardinals example from last year and lulling everybody to sleep before the playoffs. Sidney Rice did train with Larry Fitz this offseason...

Fire Chilly...Make Favre player/coach...Watch as the 2nd half of the Chicago game gets the offense going.

Might be fun to go to Philly and piss of those fans!! 1st round byes are over rated, as is home field advantage, along with coming out fired up with a chance to get the No 1 seed... life sucks talk me down from this cliff (roof)
