The thing is, Toronto was supposed to be so much bigger, tougher and better than they were last year it has to be a major disappointment for the team and their fans to be at this point out of a playoff position! Heck, many of their fans were literally talking Stanley Cup after going 6-3 in the pre-season! I've heard talk recently that the Leafs may over-haul the team this off-season! Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they just do that THIS PAST off-season? The Habs, on the other hand, were and still are the great unknown! I guess management figured they weren't gonna get any better with what they had, so why not change the entire landscape of the team! Reider's Sabres are doing great, but that shouldn't be a surprise! If they can stay reasonably healthy, I can see them contending for the cup! As for the Habs, one night they look like they can compete if not win against the top teams, and the next look like the only thing they'll contend for is the top pick in 2010! Like I said, the great unknown! Oh well, I've said many times that it's only a game played by people who make more money than any of us will ever see! I'm sure that many of the players in the league would get a kick out of us folks here on a Nfld speedway website talking about them!

The Habs have won two in a row, with wins against perennial powerhouses Islanders and Thrashers! Stay tuned to this message board for more info regarding the cup parade!

It sure hasn't hurt! The thing that bothers me is that they're giving up over 40 shots a game! As long as the goaltending holds up it's alright, but that's alot of shots game in and game out! You know what they say about the law of averages!
