Author TOPIC: Crazy Predictions for the upcoming season:

Griffith will compete for the USPL title…They have one of the best short stops in the league. The key will be Alan – if he can pitch like everyone expected, this will be a tough team to beat. Add in a return to form from big John and Winns, and you have an instant contender.

The School will win their division…This isn’t homer talking – they are legit. The main question is which of the old vets will show up this season.

Crupi will miss the playoffs again…While adding younger players last year, there are still a few question marks. How many times will the outfield misjudge balls? Will the pitcher cave under the pressure of anther losing season? Who will be the starting catcher? Will they over come the chocker label? Can this team really compete without upgrades?

I like this post...

Crupi the playoff's again? Going through the stats for the past 7 years, I can see they have not played in the connie since 2001 (which is when they won it i beleive)..Not sure where your getting your 'again' from..but you never know..you could be right..thank god for the other crappy 10 teams each year...or they would never make the championship side

Bistro will finish 16th …While some of their possible moves this off-season may be head scratchers (Kent ????????) they’ve got young talent that will finally put it together. Billy and Gayman will be the key for the turn around here. They’ll finish ahead of Angus and Remax.

No matter where I go… be it work, a friend’s house, a party or some remote quiet watering hole in the middle of Unionville…it seems the topic of Unionville Softball will eventually arise. And the story is always the same, people tell me that they have heard really good things about the USPL and have thought about actually coming to play in our league. They all ask me what Unionville softball is like and why I love it so much. Well it is the only place that allows me to have fun 15 to 20 nights in the summer. Can we fast forward to the spring time.

Now listen up fans, the Harding boys weren’t a fluke.
If you’re a Wild Wing player, this will make you want to puke.
The defense is still solid, and the offense is stellar.
No more are the days of the Grocer in the cellar.
DST comes up short, but just by a hair.
Remax is overrated, just like Viagra.
Travel Loves have no pop in their bats they play more like the Ladies.
Finally the Crupi men are coming in last.
The good news is that Arms losing ways are a thing of the past.
The lineup is stacked and the young boys are for real.
In second place, it’s the Nvision boys you’ll find.
That’s the “Cony back door Plumbers” if you don’t mind.
We’ll follow that up with the School,
Who’ll end up as far as that pitcher goes.
Then we find Griffith, with the DBS in the back.
You remember the days when the Flakeboard led the pack?
Now you’ve will see my big surprise division winners.
They’ll celebrate many playoffs wins at Kelsey’s and the Bistro with a few cold ones.
But it’s easy to pick the overall winner it’s MAS, dude!

Expect Remax to be good for one more year, I feel CP will win the Connie(AGAIN! LOL). Crupi will win a championship in 2041, DST is not a contender, School could benefit from some new blood and the "Not So Amazin" Travel Lovers "I Feel we can beat any team" will be one wild freefall from the top rung this year. The Harding boys are becoming Funkier (and not in a good way) this year and Grocer will be falling faster and expect the "Crazy Diesel Train" to go off fewer times this season. Griffith will win the big one.

6 out of 8,
Here's an observation...you're a dim-witted clown.

Here's another observation...nobody cares for your posts as not one person has ever supported anything you've ever said, so I find your posts rather limp. So...feel free to post some more and we'll all see how many more threads you continue to kill - I believe it will only continue to add to your already existing record. I'm certain that if I don't respond, the threads where you post will die on the cross more quickly than you did.

Come to the tryouts and introduce yourself to me, I'm certain all of your loyal followers would much enjoy that site - oh, my bad, that might take some globes under your robe (and some followers), and yours seemed to have been pecked off by the vultures. Too bad your manhood was never achieved.

It comes down to pitching and defense... you don’t need to have a Roy Holladay like guy who shuts down everyone (although nice to have). But someone who can throw to spots on the mat and change speeds well. Basically force the hitters to put the ball in play.

Then, when they do put the ball in play, you need solid defenders. Ones who can catch a fly ball and cover some ground in the OF and infielders who can make an accurate throw to 1B over 90% of the time.

I think every team can hit... they just need to get used to better pitchers, which they will. The top teams have the best defensive record. Look it up. Heck, I still suck and whiff routinely, but I will make up for it with some catches in field!

Pitching and defense is the key to winning in the USPL hence the School will be sipping the champagne.

A recent survey at the park on Saturday reveals that 75% of team reps surveyed said they had prescribed to the theory that the former champs will not make the championship round this year. Even more interesting, of all the players surveyed, 99% concluded that the Arms will win because of real therapeutic medications they take before and after games.

It was only the first game of the season man. There are still 24 more games to go. Still plenty of ball left. With the addition of 5 new ball players TAR will tighten it up,gellike the great players they are and cause major havoc down the road. Don't prematurely count out the defending champs just yet. TAR is still the team to beat. For all you haters and ass kissers you can now go back to bromancing and being infatuated with VG again. This board sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You asked for it... I’ve been on a bit of a working streak so I’ve been away from ball, and away from the computer.

But here goes ... Predictions for Monday

Crupi vs Tar
this one might be a lot closer than some may think i played against the Tar guys the other night and they are vastly improved, but Crupi and his boys are a solid team even with those started of rough. I’m going to go with Tar, taking it by 2, it may even come down to a walk off HR or hit.

MAS vs Kelsey’s
Well i know MAS has picked up a bunch of new and improved players but Kelsey’s still the best team in the league hands down and i think that they will take this game by lots.

CP vs Wing It
I like my boys from the Wings to take this one from the plumbers, they have gotten a lot better over the years and i haven’t heard of anything about the plumbers picking up any new guys of substance.

TL vs Bistro
TL takes this game with ease by maybe 15. There bats are just too hot and they can flat out play even with that little guy playing in the outfield.

MAS vs Kelseys
I think that MAS is going to win a close one and get there second victory of the year.

CP vs Wing
CP is going to continue its good start to the season and get another win.

TL vs Bistro
Much like cashman's prediction I see TL winning this one big, their putting up too many runs right now to bet against them.

Crupi vs Tar
I think that Tar pulls this one out.

The School has a bunch of excellent hitters and outfielders who can really shag flies. Their outfielders are as good as it gets. Well with all the poor decision the Arms are making on the field it looks like the playoffs and championship title are up for grabs. Yes, TL and DST will probably finish first in their respective divisions, but everyone has to agree that the both will fold up like cheap tents in the playoffs. Who are the favorites to win is the question we should ponder.

There are some interesting possibilities. Nvision, School, Kelsey’s, Tar, Crupi and maybe even DBS, I am just simply shining a little light on the possible contenders.

Good luck to all the playoff teams, especially to those teams that will be in the cony round.

I love how people are counting out Kelsey's. Kelsey's is currently in second place behind TL but if you look at the games played, TL has 18 and Kelsey's has 13.

I think Kelsey's has a great chance to finish first in the division especially the way they have been hitting.

Well Kelseys gets their chance at one of the cheap folding tents tonight. My money says the tent doesn't fold just yet.

seems to me like everyone on this thread is pumping their own gas a little too much. In fact players from the bottom ranked teams seem to be making the most noise... its a new season come playoffs anyways and with the way Gonzo takes care of his team to ensure 1st place in regular season why bother trying to predict outcomes.

Could be anyones championship and the arms winning last year should be the obvious example that Really ANYONE can win!!!
