| Hey boys, I received this e-mail from the manager of the Hudson River Rats and wanted to share it with you guys. I am all for scheduling a game with them. Chris, you could make sure you're dad gets a copy of this and calls them that would be great. The original e-mail message is below:
Hello to you I wanted to drop you a line and see if we could line up a game
with the Brill Millers this year (at least before the WBA playoffs come around)
up in your neck of the woods. I'm not sure if we talked to you, or if it was
one of the other guys on the squad during the semi-finals at Eau Claire last
year, but we all agreed that it'd be fun to head back up there for a game,
since it's been three years since we last went up to play the Millers (2006).
I'm hoping to get something put together for the weekend of June 11th-13th with
you guys, the Spooner Cardinals, and Haugen Hornets. Hopefully this e-mail
reaches you and we can get something down on the schedule.
Ever since we lost to you guys in the 2007 semi-finals I've had a great amount
of respect for your squad and the way you guys have played I only wished we'd
have been able to come up for a game at least once before the playoffs came
around (and also hoped we'd have held on for the win that year!) In any case,
if you have a spare date or two available to play, we'd be more than happy and
honored to head up there on a weekend night and get in a game before heading
downtown for a few post-game refreshments. Let me know if you're interested,
and I look forward to your response.
