Don't think many of you guys knew him, but he played weekend ball with some of us from Marion. We won a state title with him in 2006. He passed away earlier today. Great guy and great teammate. In black shirt in first 2 pics. Some memories.....

And don't forget, he also pretty much led every team he ever played on in three more categories: 1. Leading off the game with a home run - 2. Leading off the inning with a home run - And last but not least - 3. Career leader in "Pissing off the opposition". God I will miss you buddy!!! R.I.P. my friend!!! - Scotty Shain - #7 on the field, #1 in our hearts!!! Love ya, Troy C. Cowell - AKA Troy-Boy & T-roy - Reid Builders 2006 ASA Class "B" State Champs!!!

Hey, Dan Reid! Look at our team picture above. I'm right next to Scotty. I'm on the right. Don't get me mixed up with Tubby. Ha, ha!!! Love ya Tub!!! Notice how white my shirt is compared to Scotty's. I don't think Scotty owned a white game shirt. They were all brown. He spent most of his time on the ground. We always joked about his shirt being dirty and mine always being clean. He said it was because he played harder. I told him it was because I was faster, I made the plays on my feet, and I didn't have to get dirty. He called me a smart a. Of all people calling someone a smart a. Ha, ha!!! I thought you would like to hear that. See you at the funeral home. Be safe driving up!!! Scotty - not only did it take me, Matz, Tubby, and Doug to keep you in-line, but it took the whole team as well. We did it guys and we did it well. Reid Builders 2006 - what a team!!! See ya!!!

I hear ya Troy. He also had the distinction of having the most hat throws/hat stomps by Tubby of anyone who ever played softball, lol. He led off one inning with a HR and I swear Tubby jumped 3 feet in the air after he threw his hat down so he could jump on it lol. Good times...

Dan, I had forgot about that (Tubby jumping about 3 feet in the air). I don't know how I forgot about that. I am sitting here in my cubicle laughing my tail off. Thanks for reminding me of it. I needed it. I'm having a rough day today. And, Jeffro, you're soooooo right. See ya guys!!!
