THe Commish would like to wish all a Happy NEw Year . I would like to get an idea of how many teams we will have for the 2010 PVTFL season ? I have heard that we may be adding 3 new teams, but I would like to confirm that.

The PVTFL will be welcoming 3 new teams for the 2010 season. The PATRIOTS will be led by Rene Biez, the JETS will be formed by Robert Echevaria. And the 3rd team has yet to decide on a name. There may be a 4th team, but that team is still undecided on a team name. The league will have 12 or 13 teams for the 2010 season. Check back on this site for upcomming dates of our first meeting of the new season.

With more teams joining the league this year would that change the playoff picture? Also would you split up the teams into devisions?

No divisions because we have so many teams, it's fair for ALL teams to play each other 1 time. So, if we have 13 teams, everyone will play a 12 game season playing each team 1 time. And the playoff format will stay the same. The top EIGHT teams qualify for the "A" division. And the remanining teams will qualify for the "B" division. It's a formula we have used and works the best.
