| TALKED TO THE PARK BOARD THEY CAN NOT GET THE FIELDS READY FOR SPRING LEAGUE TO START ON MARCH 4TH STILL TO WET BUT THEY WILL TRY TO GET THEM READY FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK IF NOT WE WILL HAVE TO START ON THE 18TH OF MARCH THAT STILL GIVES US TIME TO GET THE LEAGUE IN SORRY FOR THE DELAY ANY QUESTION CALL 922-0624

| Have the parks dept. ever thought of going and trying to open up the field and let the air,and sunshine into the ground and try to get it dried out?I am sorry,but it doesn't take a genius to know how to dry out a field.That's my 2 cents.
I know this cause I worked on ball fields for several years.You might get ruts but that's the only way you are going to dry them out.You can always go back over it and smooth it back out after it dries some what.It only takes a day for most of the field to dry as long as you have some sun and a little wind.Try it.you might be surprised what will happen.If I am wrong then I will admit it,but I have done this several times for tourneys and league games.

| my guess:
id say that it has to do less with the actual drying of the fields and more likely just making the time to attend to everything pertaining to the park. i.e. mens softball on the back burner.

| Our parks department does a great job. They do more than any other department in this area. We have had a lot of rain and snow over the past couple weeks. When it freezes and then thaws day after day, you can not get the ground to dry out. Even after you turn it, it stays the same when it's a high of 34.
Information for summer league should be posted soon. League starts beginning of May. Please stay posted as I am not running any of the leagues and will not be contacting anyone.
