| Anyone else see the commercial for MLB 10: The Show featuring Joe Mauer? He actually had a personality and seemed like a pretty funny dude. Morneau must be rubbing off on him.
But not in the same way that Mau and Carter rub each other off...

| I bet those sessions have lost a LITTLE spice since Lundberg left.
PS. Joe Mauer is a tool, him and A-Roid will make a great combo in NY next year.

| Gotta love haters... Mauer and A-Rod are possibly two of the three best hitters in the world, along with Pujols.

| 3,
Can you tell me where from my post that you concluded I thought either was a bad hitter? I called Mauer a TOOL, not a BAD HITTER.
What I was trying to say is that Mauer and A-Rod seem very similar, in my opinion. They are both phony. And with all due respect, can we leave Albert in his own class. Neither of the other two are close.

| Cornholio,
Not even in the same class?!?!?!? Check Rodriguez's stats through the 10 or so years he has played. Then look at probably the 2nd best (behind Yadier Molina) defensive catcher and his average every year. So, Pujols is just off the charts better than everyone in the league?
PS. I need TP for my bunghole

| Bambino,
I did as you said and looked at the stats of A-Rod's stats for his first 9 full years in the majors vs Pujols' career numbers (9 full seasons).
A-Rod: .307 avg, 376 HRs and 1075 RBI
Pujols: .334 avg, 366 HRs and 1112 RBI
Yes, the numbers are fairly similar. However, by his own admission, A-Rod was ON STEROIDS!! So, take roughly 50 HRs (you be the judge of how much the roids helped) off that number and it's not that close anymore.
As for Mauer, his career avg is 7 points lower than Albert's.
Pujols = A-Rod's power + Mauer's avg
In conclusion, NO neither is in Albert's class.

| Well, it hasn't come to the open yet, but Pujols was on roids. Take a look at his body, it happens to be the same exact body as A-Roid has. Mauer, happens to not have that body. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.........
I bet in the next 20 years we hear that Pujols juiced A LOT!

| Yep, still disagree that Pujols is in a class of his own. He is amazing and one of my top five players (along with A-Rod, Swisher, Michael Young, and probably Santana/Sabathia), but not in a league of his own. We could argue this forever. As Kirby might say, GO BASEBALL!!!
