| Well, Nathan is going to have surgery on his elbow, but in other news the Twins have locked up Mauer for the next 9 years. Nice to know that he'll be sticking around for the long haul. Now the question becomes, Can they afford to keep a team around him?

| Everything will work out. The farm system is good enough that even if they lose a couple guys they will be able to fill holes. We have Span for 5 years, a couple great outfield and infield prospects that will be ready within a year or two, cuddy and morneau around for a least a few more years. I like the Twins situation for the upcoming decade

| Nathan is a pretty big regular season loss, will he be back for playoffs?

| He won't be back for playoffs, he's getting Tommy John surgery so gone for at least a year, maybe more
